AND LEGO the fan was able to turn the popular Pokemon Eevee inserted into Pinsir without using any other parts. LEGO Pokemon kits have been available for over two months now, but not without problems. When these sets were first revealed and made available for pre-order ahead of their February 27th release, the Kanto Badge collection that was supposed to accompany the Venusaur, Charizard, and Blastoise set sold out almost immediately. Likewise, a $649.99 large set soon followed, leaving fans wondering if it would return at release or shortly thereafter.
Pokemon as a hobby it is often plagued by scalpers, a common problem for the TCG part of the franchise, to the point that Pokemon the card shop trims the corners of booster packs to discourage scalpers. Scalpers have also been buying LEGO sets in bulk to resell them online, and the problem is likely to continue when new sets are revealed this year. Still, even with more sets on the way, the number of Pokemon represented in LEGO sets is extremely low compared to how many the line contains. For now, only five pets, including Eevee, have a dedicated set.

Pokemon LEGO Sets are already going on eBay for absolutely ridiculous prices thanks to Scalpers
The recently announced LEGO Pokemon sets have already started popping up on eBay, with scalpers selling pre-orders of the products at insane prices.
Custom LEGO Pokemon Pinsir build from the Eevee set
LEGO fan and skilled builder Minute_Food_2881 shared a post on Reddit showing off another of his creations: a Pinsir built entirely from Eevee set pieces and nothing else. Minute_Food_2881 is famous in the LEGO community on Reddit for creating seemingly impossible LEGO sets from existing sets, which he later uploads to Rebrickable with instructions for replicating his creations. In this case, Pinsir has a happy-looking expression, but retains all the characteristics that make it a wild Pokémon.

Minute_Food_2881 recently built LEGO's Deku Tree set from another kit and showed off his skills again. Speaking of which, the LEGO Deku Tree is officially ending at the end of this year, so this fan build might be the next best thing for those who miss out.
Minute_Food_2881, known on Rebrickable as CreationCanvas, seemingly used the fur from LEGO Eevee Pokemon set to craft Pinsir's spiked pincers and his claws. Eevee's legs also seem to have been used to make Pinsira's own legs, while the movable arms can use a mechanism designed for Eevee's ears. The white parts that make up Pinsir's eyes and teeth are not visible from the outside of the Eevee set, but are actually part of the set, as seen in the detailed set piece breakdown on brickowl.com.
Interestingly, CreationCanvas also built Bidoof from LEGO Eevee Pokemon a kit that shows just how versatile this kit can be in the right hands. The main limit comes from the color of Eevee's fur for other Pokemon creations, but even so, there are plenty of brown pocket monsters that could hypothetically be made from this LEGO set.
