Lego released its first-ever Pokemon sets this year, and to capitalize on its long-awaited partnership with the world's biggest entertainment IP, many more new sets are already on the way. Not just the already revealed Smart Brick kits, but three other, more substantial kits that have now been officially revealed.
Lego Rayquaza, Arcanine and Munchlax revealed
These sets will be released on the same day as the previously revealed Smart Brick options and star Arcanine, Rayquaza and Munchlax. All three are traditional Lego sets for building and display purposes only. No interactive elements and probably no hidden Smart Brick compatibility, even if you happen to have one handy.
The three new sets don't seem to have been added to the Lego website yet, but now that they've been officially revealed, it's only a matter of time, maybe even in the next few hours. You should be able to start pre-orders once the kits are on the website. Especially since they all come out on August 1, 2026, the same day as the aforementioned Smart Brick sets.
While you can't pre-order just yet, we do know how much each of the new sets will cost and how many each will be. Rayquaza will be the largest, and thus the most expensive, of the incoming Lego trio. Then again, even a Gen 3 legendary dragon doesn't cost as much as the $650 Venusaur/Charizard/Blastoise set that started Lego pokemon.
Prices and quantities
The Rayquaza set, which puts a Dragon/Flying on top of a tower surrounded by clouds, consists of 1083 pieces and costs $129.99.
While the Arcanine set is slightly larger at 1,190 pieces, it will cost slightly less at $99.99. The smallest set of the three is the Munchlax, complete with tree stump and Lego apple cores, 757 pieces and $79.99, making it slightly more expensive than the previously released Eevee set.
- Rayquza/1,083 units/$129.99
- Arcanine/1,190/$99.99
- Munchlax/757 count/$79.99
August 1st is going to be a very busy day for Pokemon Lego, as 15 sets are now being released on the same day, not counting the Ditto Squirtle gift you get for buying a certain amount of Lego Smart Brick sets. Although Smart Brick sets are cheaper and aimed at younger Lego fans, they have been criticized for not including a Smart Brick as standard. While all 12 sets have Smart Brick functionality, only the two more expensive options include Smart Brick as standard.
