Sometimes when dealing with enemies in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagayou don't always have to shoot them or slash them with a lightsaber. As a Jedi you can use many other abilities such as Force Push, Force Pull and even Jedi Mind Tricks.
If you are currently playing LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagaand you're not sure how to use Jedi mind tricks to your advantage, there are certain steps and prerequisites you'll need to follow. Here's how to use Jedi mind tricks the next time you run into a Stormtrooper.

How to use Jedi mind tricks in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
As you begin your journey through LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Sagayou will most likely start with episode 4, A new hopealthough you can also choose one of the other trilogies. If you choose one of the other trilogies, you can seek the same challenge over your chosen enemy. In Episode 4, you will first play as Leia and Luke, as well as Ben Kenobi. Before you can use Jedi Mind Tricks, you must first make sure you are using the correct character. Often when playing a game you will be with a group of characters and can switch between them.
How do you arrive? Mos Eisley for the first time with Luke and Ben Kenobi, you will be able to explore a new area and collect new items and fight against Stormtrooper enemies. There will be one particular Stormtrooper enemy that you can find by watching the glowing yellow spots on the ground. You will arrive at the location shown in the first image above, with a Stormtrooper hidden behind a red gate. Here's what you need to do to use some Jedi mind tricks on him:
- Start by approaching the Stormtrooper and he will tell you to show some identification.
- You will notice a blue Lego head symbol above him. This means you can use Jedi mind tricks on him.
- Since Luke doesn't have Jedi powers at this point, you'll want to trade for Ben Kenobi.
- A prompt will now appear above the Stormtrooper allowing you to use Mind Tricks on him. Press this button and you will now take over the Stormtrooper after choosing 'Influence'.
- As a Stormtrooper head to red terminal on the right side. Press the four symbols that appear on the screen to open the gate.
- The gate will then open and you will now have access to this new part of Mos Eisley.
Whenever you see a blue Lego head challenge above any enemy's head in the future, it will mean you'll be able to use Jedi mind tricks again. Unfortunately, you won't be able to use it on every enemy, especially not on some powerful bosses like Darth Vader. There are also three different types of Jedi mind tricks, including Influence, distraction and panic. Influence allows you to take over a character, Distract prevents an enemy from attacking you, and Panic causes enemies to attack each other.

How to upgrade Jedi mind tricks in LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga
Jedi Mind Tricks can also increase their abilities, making them more effective against the enemy. To upgrade them, you need to do the following:
- Start by going to Upgrades tab and select the Jedi class.
- There will be two options to upgrade your Jedi mind tricks including:
- Trick Time: This increases the duration of Distraction and Panic, leaving enemies confused for a longer period of time.
- Master mind: This increases the range of distraction and panic, meaning you won't have to get as close to enemies to activate the mind trick.
These upgrades are extremely useful if you like to use Jedi mind tricks a lot, and give you a chance to sneak up on your opponents and gain an advantage over them.
