Thanks to a flurry of events, June 2026 has been completely defined by video game reveals, announcements, trailers and surprises. Indeed, the spirit of E3 lives on. It produces tons of anime games based on popular properties every year, and 2026 looks set to bring one of the strongest and most diverse lineups ever. Titles like The Seven Deadly Sins: Origins and My Hero Academia: All's Justice things started off on a solid footing, but the best is probably yet to come.
Before the end of the year new Jujutsu Kaisen, Solo levelingand One piece games will be available. The diversity doesn't just come from the IP, as most of these upcoming games fall into different genres. Seriously, one of them is a cooking sim! Prepare to battle curses, steam dungeon or survive a deadly game by the end of 2026.
Most of these games have had their release dates revealed or confirmed in the last two weeks; however, I have also included a few other titles for completeness.
One Piece: Grand Gourmet
One Piece Cooking Game
Here it is, an anime cooking game from 2026. Mon Odyssey at the beginning of 2023, One piece seemed set and ready to build on the growing trend, perhaps finally setting the franchise up to become a true mainstay of the anime gaming environment, akin to something like Dragon Ball. Honestly, that hasn't really happened and we're still waiting for Bandai Namco to make an announcement One Piece: Pirate Warriors 5 (seriously, it's been over 5 years!). Still, One Piece: Grand Gourmet should be a cute title that captures the magic of Eiichiro Oda's manga.

The 15 Best One Piece Games of All Time, Ranked
From Musuo to lengthy JRPGs and even open world, the best One Piece games have a lot to offer manga and anime fans.
You join the staff of the new Baratie restaurant and your goal is to turn it into the greatest restaurant of the seas. A big gourmand is not just a cooking game but also a restaurant management simulator that lets you work alongside Sanji to make dishes from the show or even unique dishes using Devil Fruits. You can also arrange the restaurant to make sure it matches your preferences. The game appears to contain over 400 One piece characters!
Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton
Vampire Survivors Dev is creating a JJK game
Oh, this is exciting. Bullet Heaven games are a dime a dozen these days, but The surviving vampires remains the definitive edition of the genre. Jujutsu Kaisen jumping on this bandwagon might earn you eyeballs if any developer were handling the project, but Poncle's involvement changes that significantly. It would be similar to a hack-and-slash Demon Slayer game developed by PlatinumGames; you can't choose a better developer.
It is essential to Jujutsu Kaisen Rumble: Survivaton brings a lot of new ideas to the plate that should ensure it's not just that The surviving vampires with anime paint. Matches are set in battle royales where players compete against rival wizards and cursed spirits. You need to outsmart other characters rather than just survive for a set amount of time. The game supports both single-player and online PvP and features a roster of over 20 characters.
Sword Art Online – Echoes of Aincrad
A SAO game without Kirito (who looks incredible)
Sword Art Online games come out often enough that new ones usually don't attract any attention except for die-hard fans of the light novel or anime. However, Echoes of Aincrad sets itself apart by minimizing its connection to the source material, or to be precise, the Kirito-themed story of the source material. Set in the world of the original game, you become a trapped player who simply wants to survive, and you get to shape the look, class, and skills of your characters. Heck, you can even shape the dynamic with your AI-controlled partner.

All the big upcoming PS5 games for 2026 and beyond
From JRPGs to platformers, racing and open-world titles, here are all the big new PS5 games releasing in 2026 and beyond.
Although it does not lack a traditional story, Echoes of Aincrad It seems to be much more concerned with the gameplay side of things, with promotional material emphasizing equipment, building, and exploration. Players make choices that define their adventure, rather than just following a linear path with no turns. The combat also looks fantastic, the attacks seem to have weight.
Captain Tsubasa 2: World Fighters
Forget the World Cup, this is where real football stars are made
Captain Tsubasa is a classic football anime that is famous all over the world; I personally grew up on the Italian version and still have fond memories of the original series. Although not as recognized, the franchise has a long and extensive history in gaming, unsurprisingly so given that football is easily translated into video game form. Rather than just FIFA with anime characters, Captain Tsubasa effectively played as a strategic sports game where players try to destroy the opposing team and its goalkeeper.
Captain Tsubasa: Rise of New Champions brought the game series back into the limelight somewhat and was pretty solid if you knew what to expect. Even then, the matches got a bit repetitive after a while, so there was definitely room for improvement. The sequel looks poised to do just that by introducing even more strategic elements, especially in the battles between attacks and goalkeepers.
Solo Alignment: Karma
The perfect delay while waiting for the Season 3 solo leveling
Although the exact date has not yet been announced, Solo Alignment: Karma should debut later this year, with Netmarble launching on mobile and PC. As Netmarble confirmed it will be at Anime Expo in July, the game's vision should become clearer in a few weeks, perhaps even with a release date revealed. However, we do know a few things at this point. Karma is a roguelite action RPG played from an isometric angle and tells a brand new story called the 27-Year War of Monarchs. The following official Tweet provides a basic description of Sung's in-game predicament.
Solo leveling season 3 probably won't be out for a while, so Karma may be the perfect choice to get your Sung fix.
Special mention: Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game
Combine the four elements
Okay, I know not everyone agrees Avatar: The Last Airbender qualifies as anime (and to be honest, I don't consider it anime), but the Nickelodeon show is definitely inspired by Japanese animation. Let's make an exception and sort Avatar Legends: The Fighting Gameespecially since the franchise rarely gets any new games.
Well, this project pretty much says it all in the name. A 2D 1v1 fighter that uses hand-drawn animation, Avatar Legends: The Fighting Game brings together 12 characters from both series, with more to be introduced at launch. Although PvP seems to be an obvious priority, the game features a single-player campaign that tells an original story that fits within the canon world. Of course, standard modes such as arcade will also be included.
