Fans have already found out a lot of interesting details about the news Mario Kart game based on the Switch 2 reveal trailer. One of the most notable is that it seems Mario Kart on Switch 2 it will support 24 player races. The race shown in the Switch 2 reveal trailer appears to be one of those 24-player races, and while not all of the competitors can be clearly identified, at least 22 have been discovered so far.

Although the new footage shared from Mario Kart for Nintendo Switch 2 is brief, players have noticed an interesting detail about Rosalina's karts.
Based on my own observations and convincing screenshots shared by Bluesky user Sylverstone Khandr, the Switch 2 reveal trailer seems to confirm at least 22 competitors for the new Mario Kart game. Not all racers can be seen 100% clearly, so it's possible that some of them are off, but it looks like Baby Daisy, Baby Luigi, Baby Mario, Baby Peach, Bowser, Bowser Jr., Daisy, Donkey Kong, King Boo , Koopa Troopa, Luigi, Mario, Pauline, Peach, Rosalina, Shy Guy, Toad, Toadette, Waluigi, Wario and Yoshi are all on board for the new Mario Kart on switch 2.

From Mario Kart appears to support 24-player races on Switch 2, one has to imagine that at least two other racers can be seen in the footage. Claims have been made that there are a couple of Koopalings in the trailer, but I haven't been able to spot them myself. Hopefully there will be a clearer trailer for the news Mario Kart gives fans a hint as to who else might appear in the new racing game.
Unfortunately, it may be a few months before fans get more details about the news Mario Kart. Nintendo has confirmed that a Nintendo Direct will take place on April 2nd where they will fully reveal the Switch 2. Presumably, Mario Kart will be a launch title for the device and will have a significant presence at the event, but time will tell on that front.

Nintendo Switch 2
The Nintendo Switch 2 is the successor to the Nintendo Switch, which is scheduled for release in 2025. Confirmed to be backwards compatible, it will play both physical and digital Nintendo Switch games. The full reveal is written for April 2, 2025.
