Dracula

Primary villain in Lore

Throughout the many pages of character lore, fans will notice constant references to vampires and how the heroes had to fight vampires invading the city. This vampiric event is important to several heroes such as Spider-Man and Cloak and Dagger as they battled the creatures after Doom in Doom 2099.

In Spider-Man's “Hostile Neighborhood” lore, Dracula takes on Spider-Man, Blade, and The Human Torch. At the end of this page of lore, Dracula ominously drags Blade off into the night, leaving Spider-Man in the dark as to what happened to his friend.

Morbius

An unlikely vampire ally

With all the talk of vampires, it's only natural that Morbius would be mentioned. Morbius is mentioned once in Marvel Rivalswhen Squirrel Girl and Spider-Man are on the same team. With two Duelists on the team, Spider-Man starts talking to Squirrel Girl about the vampires that have invaded New York.

At the end of this conversation, Spider-Man also states that Morbius actually appeared during the fight to help fend off Dracula's vampires. With that, Morbius is technically out Marvel Rivals universe.

Blade

Blade, a natural hero determined to save New York City from vampires, also appears in Spider-Man's “Hostile Neighborhood” lore. In it, Spider-Man refuses to help Spider-Zero; he'd rather stay in New York to fight the vampires. The Human Torch appears and tells Spider-Man that Blade has arrived.

The three heroes begin fighting Dracula's minions until Dracula himself appears. Dracula takes on the three superheroes almost effortlessly, and when Blade saves Spider-Man, Dracula picks Blade up and takes him back to his castle.

Knull

Because Klyntar is one of the maps in Marvel Rivalsit makes sense that Knull would be mentioned in the game. Knull is mentioned several times throughout the text Marvel Rivals. In Venom's “Betray The Umbra” lore, he sets out with Magik to end Knull's reign and eventually teams up with Adam Warlock.

Venom even found the Necrosword that had been stored in the side of the Celestial. Knull is also mentioned in Hela's lore page, “Messenger of the Abyss”, where the two challenge each other for their power over the Celestials and Hel.

Odin

Thor's father finds a way inside Marvel Rivals through character lore pages. The most prominent lore page that Odin resides on is surprisingly Adam Warlock. In Adam Warlock's “Sail of Gold” lore, Adam is asleep in his cocoon and then hears a voice calling his name.

This voice is revealed to be Odin relating to Adam Warlock as the two are asleep as the multiverse is at stake. Here, fans learn that Loki has taken over Yggsgard, one of the maps in Marvel Rivalsand also that Knull would be a danger. With this, Adam Warlock vows to end Knull's rule.

Drax

Only some members of the Guardians of the Galaxy made the list Marvel Rivalswith Gamora and Drax being left out. Drax is mentioned several times among the Guardians of the Galaxy crew. In one of the interactions between Star-Lord and Rocket Racoon, Star-Lord states that Drax will hate that he missed the action.

In another quote between Mantis and Rocket Racoon, Rocket states that he will call Drax to break out of prison. With these quotes, fans can only hope to one day see the Destroyer make his way into a heroic shooter.

Several heroes of Wakanda are hinted at here Marvel Rivals, including Shuri and Okoye. Okoye is mentioned once in the game, found while playing the Imperial Dueling Ground map in Wakanda. Okoye's armor is placed on a display on the wall and players can go up and work with it. This will cause Okoye's message to play.

Performing this action will grant players an achievement called “Shero of Wakanda”. Although this is Okoye's primary inclusion, he is a powerful one that players must interact with to complete their achievements.

Danny Rand

When fans found out that Iron Fist was coming Marvel Rivalsmany thought it would be Danny Rand because it looked natural. To the surprise of many players, Marvel Rivals Iron Fist is actually revealed to be Lin Lie. Lin Lie was also known as the hero Swordmaster in Marvel Comics.

In an interaction between Moon Knight and Iron Fist, Moon Knight says that Lin Lie is not the Iron Fist he used to know, and Lin Lie asks, “Were you expecting Danny Rand?” Lin Lie also recognizes the Iron Fists in front of him when he appears in the game and declared that he will be the best.

Kate Bishop

Kate Bishop was an important figure in the lives of Hawkeye and Jeff Landshark and is mentioned between them through lore and dialogue. In an interaction between Jeff the Earth Shark and Hawkeye while they are in the spawn room, Hawkeye states that Jeff made Kate “sick”.

In Jeff's “Sharknado” lore page, Kate is briefly mentioned in a line in which Jeff recalls going to the zoo with Kate. Towards the end of Sharknado, Kate is mentioned one more time when Jeff wonders what his friends would do in the situation he was stuck in, assuming Kate used an explosive arrow to escape.

Charles Xavier

Since there are already many X-Men on the roster Marvel Rivalsone would expect Charles Xavier to be mentioned at least once in all of mutant lore. In Magneto's “Trial of Magneto” lore, Charles Xavier is only mentioned briefly as Magneto puts together Cerebro.

In Storm's “Dreamy Dew” lore, Charles is hinted at much more. Storm felt a powerful presence and wished she could tell Xavier immediately as she felt her vision move closer to his, but she wondered where the professor would be in the midst of all the multiverse chaos.
