They shared the information on their Twitter account along with an image of the character, played by Tessa Thompson, which fans first saw entering the MCUThor: Ragnarok released It's important to say that the leak doesn't provide any additional information about the character, such as whether she'll be a Duelist, Strategist, or Vanguard, what her abilities will be, a release date, or which version of Valkyrie will be added to the free-to-play title.
Leak Teases Valkyrie's Marvel Rivals Debut
Valkyrie is one of several Marvel Comics characters to hail from Asgard, and has become a fan favorite in recent years. The fearless leader of the warrior order known as the Valkyrior, comic book fans have encountered several versions of the character over the years. Some are very old, like those in Avengers #83 (1963) a Thor #296 (1966). Others are more modern, like the version seen in Fearless Defenders #1 (2013), a story focusing on a team of female heroes led by Valkyrie and Misty Knight. In addition to the comics and the MCU, the character has appeared in games such as Marvel Future Fight and LEGO Marvel Universeand animated projects such as Wolverine and X-Men & Avengers: EMH.
