The Pokemon TCG faces an incredible task in trying to adapt the god of all Pokemon into a card game. Will it just be a colorless Pokemon, or will each type get an adaptation? This is the thinking behind the Pokémon TCG's Arceus set, which contains many unique and valuable copies of Arceus as well as his best creation, the shiny Pokémon.

Arceus Lv. X $23.21
How the Pokémon TCG treats Arceus
One of the valuable Arceus cards that can be found in her own set is Arceus Lv. X. While many cards share this name, there are a few differences that set them apart. For starters, the moves Arceus can use will need different types of energy.
He can use Psychic Bolt, which requires both Electric and Psychic energy to use. Does 100 damage. While it may not be that impressive, Arceus Lv. X can also use any move from his previous Arceus form that you have underneath him. It also requires writing Arceus underneath it, making it a pretty cool card to have in your collection.
7
Salamence Lv. X $25.36
Lots of winning cards
Salamence is one of the best Dragon-type Pokemon from the Hoenn region. In the Pokémon TCG, the Arceus set also gives him Lv. The X variant that allows you to go one step further. This Salamence has one move which is Steam Blast. For four energy including water and fire type energy, Steam Blast does 100 damage.
While it doesn't look great either, it's the Poke Power, Double Fall that make it worth it. This is a chance to get a second prize card every time Salamence knocks out a Pokemon. This can help you speed up all six during the format when it was usable.
6
Arceus Lv. X $40.15
The Power of Grass and Fire
Arceus Lv. X has a different variant that has a different card image and movement than his other prints. This one has the Move Meteor Blast which deals 100 damage for a combination of grass and fire energy. However, this is not consistent as you have to flip a coin for the full effect.

Regardless, this card is unique because it's also one of the few cards that says you can have as many copies of the card as you want in your deck. This breaks the old rule of only having four copies of each name per deck. It's a nice little piece to show off this card in your collection.
5
Charizard $41.91
Charizard returns
While it may not be the most powerful Charizard, it manages to make it to the top when it comes to the most valuable cards. This Charizard has a holographic foil that makes it the perfect addition to your glitter card binder.
What makes this card so interesting is its Fire Formation Poke Body. As long as your bench is full of Fire-type Pokémon, you can deal an additional 50 damage per attack. So Fire Wing, which normally does 30 damage per energy, can instead do 80. Burning Tail also does 130 instead of 80 under these circumstances.
4
Bagon $44.00
Make a collector green with envy
Some shiny pokemon don't have that much of a difference when it comes to color. However, others like Bagon pop out more because of their vibrant color. The shiny Bagon found in the Arceus set of the Pokemon TCG shows the Pokemon standing on rocks with steam humming.
It may not have the greatest moves, but the card itself is worth collecting. It has a reflective film that covers the body of the card and the clear text makes this glare look much better on a normal white card. So if you're looking for shiny Pokemon cards, then this is one you shouldn't miss.
3
Gengar $83.84
Give your collection some scary power
If you want to scare your opponent, the best thing to do is to shuffle the card on the field back into their deck. This means they need to have the cards needed to re-bring them or draw them randomly. Gengar Lv. X found in the Arceus set can do this with his Pokémon Power, Level-Down.

This can prevent your opponent from using Lv. X Pokemon. Meanwhile, Compound Pain can hit all of your opponent's Pokemon at once if they already have damage tokens on them. So aside from being a gorgeous holographic card with sparkly eyes that make Gengar pop out at you, it's also an absolute menace.
2
Shinx $85.29
Shinx does the best
Shinx's shiny variant turns a normally blue cub into yellow. This is perfect because the body of the card is also yellow, giving it the perfect color coordination that some of the most aesthetically pleasing Pokemon cards have.
This Shinx's Star Barrier Poke Body will get rid of all of its weaknesses if any energy is attached to it. If your opponent is one cost away from winning, Shinx's Payback Move will deal 40 damage instead of ten. It's not much, but it's always nice to see your Pokemon face adversity.
1
Ponyta $107.98
The most valuable card in the Arceus set
If you're wondering what the best card from Pokemon Platinum: Arceus is, then you'll be surprised to find that it's Shiny Ponyta. This is not a powerful legendary Pokemon, but one of the most underrated Fire-type Pokemon from the Kanto region.
Like some other Shiny Pokemon, this Ponyta has Star Barrier as its Poke Body. He also has a move that mirrors his card art called Blue Fire. This deals 50 damage for two energy. When you take a closer look, you really realize just how majestic the Blue Flame Ponyta can be. So if you have one, feel free to get the most valuable Ponyta card ever printed.
