With release My Hero Academia Chapter 430 earlier this year, fans weren't sure what path the series would take next. Deku and Ochaco's relationship is finally confirmed by Horikoshi. They are officially together.
So the potential for a My Hero Academia sequel will always be there. With Chapter 431 of My Hero Academia, which Horikoshi sees as the story's epilogue, he brings a proper perspective to the former UA Class 1A students who are now professional heroes. Among these students, Bakugo probably always shined, and the epilogue focused quite a lot on his character, revealing exciting bits of information, including his rank as a hero, which shocked quite a few readers.
Bakugo is an incredible power shown in the final war
- Bakugo is among the most powerful in the world
- Bakugo's hero rank does not reflect his power
It's safe to say that Bakugo is incredibly powerful and has tremendous strength. From the beginning of the story, Bakugo was seen as someone destined to reach for the stars. As the story continued, Bakugo, fueled by his rivalry with Deku, grew stronger. In the Final War saga, he managed to take himself to the next level, especially after coming back from a near-death state after undergoing Quirk Awakening. Bakugo's new explosive powers were strong enough to fight evenly against All For One, despite feeling pain on every inch of his body and barely having the strength to move. Despite this, Bakugo was able to defeat All For One, which only showed that his true power when fully healthy far surpasses the display he put on in the battle against All For One. Now as a professional hero, Bakugo has to be even stronger and it goes without saying that he will be among the strongest right now and potentially even be the strongest himself.

Unfortunately, while the rating of the heroes was indicated, at the end My Hero Academiawere not expressly disclosed by the author. Fans were only told that Mirio Togata, who was previously dubbed as the man closest to All Might, was revealed as the number one hero. It didn't surprise the fans too much, but what was certainly stunning was the fact that the hero rankings of the vast majority of Class 1A and the other aspiring heroes along with them were not revealed.
Fortunately, the epilogue of My Hero Academia they've made sure that the vast majority of charts that matter have finally been revealed to fans, and it's safe to say that some of them are incredibly surprising, to say the least. Bakugo, who fans know to be one of the strongest heroes, also has a very shocking rank that some fans find incredibly hard to believe.
The Bakugo hero rankings are finally revealed
In the epilogue of My Hero Academia, it was made clear to the fans that Bakugo is not in the top 10 heroes at all. This was shocking to all fans, especially considering his performance in the Final War Saga as well as the level of power he has. Bakugo should be at the peak of his abilities at this point and have the potential to grow even stronger. As such, Bakugo should be higher in the hero rankings. However, his recent rank has been shown to be steadily declining, which is due to his bad character. Bakugo is not the friendliest of people and doesn't know how to socialize properly. His harsh and erratic behavior led to his rank steadily declining.
IN My Hero Academia In chapter 431, it was revealed to fans that Bakugo debuted on the Hero Billboard chart as the number 4 hero. This position was quite impressive, although it could still be higher. However, for a first entry into the Hero Billboard, it was at least decent. But since then, Bakugo has steadily declined, eventually reaching 15th place. Right now, Bakugo is the 15th hero in Japan, which definitely puts him far from ever becoming something like All Might.

My Hero Academia: Horikoshi reveals the top 10 heroes at the end of the series
Horikoshi finally reveals the top 10 heroes in Japan. The ranking is shocking.
This is outrageous to say the least, especially when fans know that there are other heroes who didn't exactly have the most likable personalities and chose extremely high positions on the hero billboard. This revelation rightfully caused a shocking reaction from fans, and one can only hope that Bakugo will move up the ladder in the future after working on his behavior.
While it's clear to fans that Bakugo's ranking is shocking, it also shows that his character has undergone quite a bit of growth. At one point, Bakugo would be absolutely furious that he wasn't ranked highest. Bakugo doesn't care about being number one. He is no longer only interested in winning and saving people is just as important to him. Bakugo's contention with being the 15th hero in Japan is indicative of his personal growth. At this point, Bakugo is aware that he is among the strongest, potentially even the strongest himself, and the rankings don't make him a better hero. Bakugo does his justice as he sees fit and that makes him a special character.
Does Bakugo deserve to be taller?
Bakugo's ranking could easily have been higher
Bakugo undoubtedly deserves to be higher on the Hero Billboard. Even though he has a very rash nature, Bakugou's power overshadows all of that and one cannot absolutely ignore the good he does. Some of the weaker heroes above him are absolutely not sitting well with the fans, but Bakugo himself seems like it doesn't matter anymore. Bakugo no longer aspires to the top spot in the hero rankings, although he still admires All Might and wants to become more like him, or even surpass him.
Bakugo just doesn't care about numbers. If he goes higher in the future, he would definitely be happy, but if not, it wouldn't mean much to him because his life is complete and he knows he can only get stronger and be a better hero from here on out.
