If you are one of those who loved the classic moments of life MHA episodes like “Moving into Dorms” from Season 3, then this series will be a great read for you.
Some of the highlights of these light novels include:
- Bakugo and Eri. Aizawa encourages Bakugo to befriend Eri, offering a glimpse of a softer side to the often prickly character.
- UA school festival. In an extension of the school festival from the main story, we will see how the students of 1-A individually choose their celebrations.
- 1-A and 1-B Slumber Party. The UA girls have a sleepover during training camp. While MHA arguably features one of the stronger female casts in Shōnen, it's nice that they get more time to shine in a story devoted almost entirely to them.
- The teachers are meeting. While adults in MHA they play a pivotal role, we often see even less of their personal lives than the students. Volume 3 of “School Briefs” offers a look at UA staff for an after-school evening.

“You get to read about the characters going about their daily lives – something I didn't manage to squeeze much into the manga because I was too focused on moving the plot along. I really want to add more content like this to the manga itself” – note by Kohei Horiksohi, author of MHA, in “School panties” 1st part.

Since the first episode, we see the collaboration that fans have been asking for more of as Deku, Ochaco, and Bakugo team up with Miruko on a training mission. Other fun teams from the series include:
- Deku, Fumikage and Shihai Kuroiro from Class 1-B. After the sports festival, Fumikage and Deku don't meet much, and Kuroiro's ability to blend with black makes this mission interesting.
- Bakugo, Shoto, Kirishima and Camie from Shiketsu High. While the trio of UA boys are always fun to see, Camie provides a fun dynamic in her interactions with Bakugo as well.
- Girls 1-A. The 1-A girls have plenty of opportunities to bond in this manga spin-off series, even in occasional situations like the return of a lost dog.
- Prequel Story. One “team” featured in these volumes shows Deku and Bakugo facing off against a villain in a story set before the main My Hero Academia timeline.

Deku has always idolized heroes such as the number one hero, All Might, and has longed to be a hero since childhood. However, his lack of eccentricity has always held him back, but a chance encounter with All Might after discovering a classmate in danger sets Deku on the path to becoming a true hero. My Hero Academia centers around Deku and a class of heroes in training at UA. This school molds young quirky users into future heroes through mock rescue missions, combat training and other hero tasks. With young Deku, who has inherited the “One for All” quirk, he learns what it means to be a true hero while facing off against dastardly supervillains.
