One Piece's The Elbaf arc was always going to be massive for the Straw Hat Pirates, and fans knew it from the start. The land was first brought up in the Little Garden Arc, and since then fans have known that one day the Straw Hat Pirates would explore Elbaf and that it would get its own arc. Her parents both gave their lives to archaeology. Robin lived with her uncle and was abused throughout her childhood. On this island, Robin also lost another of her beloved friends who was Saul, a former naval vice admiral who fought for Ohara. Saul was frozen by Kuzan and left for dead on a burning island. In the end, Robin was forced to survive on scraps. After posting a bounty of 79 million berries, Robin was hunted from the age of eight until adulthood. She did what she could to survive, but never trusted anyone again for fear that she would end up being sold to the government or killed in some other way. Robin wandered from one place to another, but eventually found a home with the Straw Hat Pirates, who fought the world for her. All of this led to Robin finally declaring that she wanted to live in Enies Lobby, and from then on she became an integral part of the crew.

This chapter adds quite a bit of depth to Robin's already great flashback while also adding to the character of Saul. Fans also learned quite a lot of details about the Ohara incident here, which certainly adds more importance to this whole massacre. It is revealed to fans that after the Ohara incident, Spandine framed Nico Robin for killing the people in Ohara.

The navy ship that Akainu sank was said to have been sunk by none other than Robin. People were told he was a demon and would kill them in their sleep. This also explains why a lot of people ended up turning on Robin and giving her location to the World Government. They were offered money and at the same time feared for their safety, probably due to government propaganda. Robin kept running from place to place with nowhere to go. actually One piece Chapter 1133 took a very dark turn as fans saw Nico Robin contemplating suicide. She planned to jump off the cliff into the ocean below, and the only reason she continued was because Saul's words still resonated with her. Robin kept breaking down over and over wondering why she had to live at all and what was the value of surviving. The way people hunted her down and tried to turn her in to the government was brought up a lot, and most of all, Robin's desire to kill herself was also quite focused, which certainly adds a new layer of depth to it. However, as fans know, Robin manages to survive and find his own family in the form of straw pirates.

One piece Chapter 1133 ended in one of the most emotional moments fans have seen Oda write into the story as Robin completely breaks down and reveals that she wanted to see Saul all along and that she wanted his praise for surviving all these years.
