- The identity of the new Sun god in Elbaf may be connected to Norse mythology, perhaps Hel.
- More deities from Norse mythology may be introduced in the Elbaf arc, such as Loki and Odin.
One piece marked a great start to the Elbaf arc, and fans are incredibly excited to see where Oda is headed in this story arc. Elbaf is the arc I've been waiting ages for. It's actually an arc that was set up in the story before Wano was even hinted at, and in many ways that arc could potentially be even bigger. This might be the biggest arc One piecewhich means that Oda will introduce some of the most important characters here, and others who have already been introduced in the story, like Shanks, play a very important role.
Of course, when it comes to the newly introduced characters, those of Elbaf are likely to be inspired by Norse mythology. Fans certainly know that the Elbafs are rooted deep in Norse mythology, and many of the gods that fans know exist, such as Loki, will appear in this story at some point. Recently, Oda introduced one such God to fans, and this sets up even better things to come One piece.
The Sun God who was revealed in the Arc of Elbaf
- Elbaf worships the Sun God
- The new Sun God is finally introduced in one piece
While Elbaf has many godly entities such as Loki, none of them have actually been confirmed as gods. Loki is simply a giant that exists in Elbaf, and he is the prince of the Kingdom. Fans don't know if Loki actually holds a divine position or is even called a God. That depends on what Oda wants to do with the story and how he describes the culture of Elbaf. Perhaps in the land of Elbaf, humans hold important positions with the title of God, similar to Skypiea. Maybe that's not the case and Loki is just a normal Giant with great power among the other Giants who are inspired by the Gods. Fans don't know much yet.
We must report this event to the Sun God immediately!
However, there is an exception. There is a certain God in Elbaf that everyone worships. This is the Sun God, also known as Nika. Fans know that the story of the Sun God Nik actually originates from the land of Elbaf, as confirmed by Vegapunk himself in the Egghead Island Arc. As fans know, the stories of the Sun God Nik of Elbaf predate even Joy Boy, who existed 800 years ago in One piece world. Nika existed as a legend from Elbaf, and whether this God was real or not, no one really knows. Fans actually know that Elbaf worships Nika as a true God, and so far this particular person is the only God that fans know exists in the land.
Right now, fans know that the title of sun god belongs to none other than Luffy. He ate Gomu Gomu no Mi and gained Nika's powers with it. However, a new character called the Sun God was recently introduced. This character was seen in the fake Elbaf that the Straw Hat Pirates found themselves in. This character was recently revealed in One Piece Chapter 1128 and it's safe to say that they will play an incredibly exciting role in the future of One Piece. . Of course, the legitimacy of the Sun God title this figure holds is still up for debate. Since Luffy is a Sun God, it's highly likely that this person isn't actually a Sun God at all and is only pretending to be a Sun God, as much as he seems to love being the ruler of a world of their own making.
What is the true identity of the Sun God?
The true identity of the Sun God may be Hel
Definitely a character that fans have seen One piece chapter 1128 is not the true sun god. There can only be one Sun God and that person is Nika. The powers of the Nika fruit belonged to Joy Boy a long time ago and right now they belong to Luffy. If anyone is the Sun God, it's Luffy, and whoever this other person is, he's clearly not the Sun God and just playing God. But then the question arises as to who this person really is. Fans don't know the real identity of this person as things stand.
However, it is clear that they may actually be derived from a deity that exists in Norse mythology. Looking at the design of this character, fans can tell that they are a bit odd compared to the regular Giants. They are not bulky and carry a bit of unique charisma. This figure wears a fur jacket and a deer skull with giant horns on top. In one hand they carry a shield with the symbol of the sun, while in the other they have a staff with the symbol of the sun.
I won't let you get away! – God of the Sun
It's clear that this character truly believes he is the Sun God, or at least loves pretending to be the Sun God. This suggests that they admire the Sun God and could later become an ally of the Straw Pirates.
As for the Sun God's identity, however, fans can only guess based on their appearance. Curiously, there is a goddess in Norse mythology who looks very similar to this character. This goddess is known as Hel. Hel is a very interesting goddess who is seen with a similar deer-like skull and even a feathered jacket. The staff is also something that Hel has in common with this particular character. All in all, the character design that Oda introduced for the Sun God in the previous chapter fits very well with Hel. For those who don't know who Hel is, she is the daughter of Loki and a very dangerous individual in Norse mythology.
Hel is said to be the goddess of death and at the same time the ruler of the underworld. The fact that the serpent Hyllmungandr was under the command of Hel is also good evidence that this figure may actually be Hel. At the same time, fans could also see the slim figure of this person, which reminds of how Oda draws women in general. Hel may very well be a woman, and Oda could confirm this in the coming chapters of the story.
While this character is not Hel, fans know that Oda will certainly represent many of the gods in the Elbaf arc. Loki has already been confirmed, and since fans know he is the prince of the Kingdom, his father, who will likely become Odin, could also appear in this story. Fans also know that Thor is a character that could potentially appear in this arc, and that's something they absolutely can't wait for. The Elbaf arc has just begun and things are only going to get more exciting going forward.
