The strongest Haki user of the current era is revealed by Oda. Here's what Oda had to say.
Of course, the flavor text here can't always be trusted, and in most cases it's only meant to be taken with a grain of salt, but some of the other information, such as additional character information, is pretty nice to say the least. . This set of Vivre cards revealed quite a bit of exciting information regarding the Marines, and when it comes to this monstrously powerful group, fans know that the Admirals are the most interesting of all. Specifically, the Admirals that fans were introduced to before the timeskip are the most interesting, and Oda has now revealed an exciting bit of information about them.
Monster rookie marines
- Garp, Tsuru and Sengoku inspired many young sailors
- Akainu and Kizaru were very impressed
When it comes to Marines, fans are naturally most interested in the Admirals. These are some of the most powerful characters in this organization, as well as the most interesting. Naturally, fans would want to know more about these powerful people, and now that Oda is getting them more involved, there will be quite a bit of information about them. In the latest Vivre cards, fans not only learned about the rewards of the Marines Guild Cross, but Oda also decided to reveal a lot of other exciting information, such as the past of these individuals. .
More specifically, Oda revealed a very interesting piece of information regarding Kizaru and Akainu. This is more in line with what happened in Egghead Island towards the end. For those who don't remember, Akainu accused Kizaru of doing a lousy job on Egghead. However, Kizaru found the comment rather insulting. This was especially because Kizaru was forced to kill his best friend, Dr. Vegapunk, and he did so with a heavy heart. Kizaru yelled at Akainu for this, even going so far as to call him a fucking brat. Of course, this surprised many fans, but those who knew that Akainu and Kizaru had a very good relationship in the past knew that this was not a big deal at all. In fact, Oda revealed in the Vivre cards that the two individuals had teamed up with the Marines 32 years ago in One piece.
More specifically, Oda also further revealed that they had a very high reputation right from the start, and because of this notion, they quickly rose through the ranks of the Navy from a very early stage. According to what Oda revealed in the Vivre cards, Akainu and Kizaru were known as Monster Rookies (思思一期生) immediately after they joined the Marines. This is probably because they were monstrously powerful and at the same time more exciting than any other marine who joined the organization, at least for a while. These Monster Rookies then became Vice Admirals and later soon rose to the rank of Admiral.
Why were Kizaru and Akainu destined for greatness
Kizaru and Akainu had immense power
As with Akainu, fans don't know much about Kizaru's early life One piecebut what they do know for sure is that both of these individuals were incredibly strong and that they were destined for greatness from the beginning. It is unknown when exactly they ate their devil fruit, or if they already had their fruit when they joined the navy. It's highly likely that fans won't find out until much later in the story. But at least they both had their powers when they were vice admirals.
This is shown in the canon story for both of these individuals on various occasions. In the case of Kizaru, fans could see him use the power of Pika Pika no Mi when he was a Vice Admiral during the Fisher Tiger flashback. For Akainu, the Ohara incident was a clear sign that he already had his Devil Fruit powers.

One Piece: Oda confirms Akainu's Yonko level status
Akainu is a very powerful marine in One Piece. He may even be on par with a Yonko.
If the Z movie is to be believed, they were trained by Zephyr. While what happened to Zephyr in Movie Z is not canon, the character himself could be canon. After all, Oda drew and designed Zephyr himself, which could be enough to suggest that this is a character that Oda considers part of his story. Regardless, fans know that this generation of Monster Rookie, which probably also included Kuzan at this point, were trained by people like Garp, Sengoku, and others who were older and considered the most powerful in the navy at the time. Over time, they became masters of their abilities while improving their Haki tremendously. Akainu and Kizaru became powerful Navy Admirals and fans know them to be the monsters they are today.
Of course, there are many things that readers don't know about these powerful individuals, but they will surely learn more in time. Fortunately, most of the admirals will be central to the plot in the Final Saga of One Piece, which means exciting content is heading towards the fans. This is especially true in the case of Navy Fleet Admiral Sakuzuki, who has been out of the story for a long time and has been saved by Oda all that time.
Are Kizaru and Akainu the strongest marines?
Kizaru and Akainu are among the strongest, but not the strongest
Generally speaking, Akainu and Kizaru are two of the strongest marines ever. However, it cannot really be said that they are the absolute strongest. This is simply due to the fact that there are characters like Sengoku and Garp who were especially active during the Pirate King era who are known to be monsters in battle. Garp, for example, has earned the reputation of a Marine of Legends. Of course, this doesn't mean that Akainu and Kizaru can't reach this level, but so far, fans don't know that they have the same legendary reputation as the previous generation of the Navy. Of course, Akainu's final reward being revealed to be 5 billion berries certainly raises some interesting questions, and hopefully Oda will answer them in the Final Saga itself.
