Officially introduced incl One piece Chapter 1044 in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #17 March 28, 2022, Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika is one of the most powerful devil fruits that exist in the world. One piece. This devil fruit was eaten by the series' protagonist, Monkey D. Luffy, at a very young age, and his true powers only emerged after his awakening in Wano. Since his debut, Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika has held a monopoly on the throne of the strongest Devil Fruit, but that changed with the climax of the Elbaf arc, which 4 years later officially introduced two powerful Devil Fruits capable of even surpassing Luffy's Nika Fruit.
These incredibly powerful Devil Fruits are Nerona Imu's Akuma no Mi, which stands at the top as arguably the new strongest Devil Fruit in the One Piece world, and along with it the potential Hito Hito no Mi fruit, Model: Zaza, which can basically nullify the abilities of all other Devil Fruits that exist in the One Piece world by using their one biggest weakness.
Elbaf Arc's Climax features Akuma no Mi and sets Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza
The top of the Elbaf Arch One piece introduced us to two of the most powerful Devil Fruits, both more than powerful enough to rival and potentially even surpass Luffy's Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika. In One Piece Chapter 1179, published on April 6, 2026, in WSJ Issue #19, Eiichiro Oda, the creator of One Piece, officially revealed Nero Ima in the flesh for the first time. Along with this reveal, Imu's Devil Fruit ability was also revealed and officially named Akuma no Mi.
Immediately after, in One Piece Chapter 1182, which was officially published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump #24 on May 10, 2026, Eiichiro Oda created another powerful Devil Fruit, the Hito Hito no Mi Model: Zaza. This Devil Fruit, like the Nika Fruit, is a God Ability that was first teased in One Piece Chapter 287 in the Skypiea Arc on August 11, 2003. Simply put, this Devil Fruit allows the user to transform into a Rain God who submits to prayers for rain. The rain god has the ability to bring a heavy downpour and basically flood the entire terrain in seconds. The floodwater is incredibly dangerous to any Devil Fruit user, as it can completely submerge them and prevent them from fully utilizing their abilities, making God overwhelmingly overpowered against Devil Fruit users.
Akuma no Mi stands as One Piece's Ultimate Devil Fruit
While Luffy's Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika is powerful, Imu's Devil Fruit Akuma no Mi ability is on a whole other level. Imu's Devil Fruit is completely different from every other fruit that exists in the One Piece world. While all Devil Fruits have a dual naming pattern, such as Hito Hito no Mi, Goro Goro no Mi, Soru Soru no Mi, and Kobu Kobu no Mi to name a few, Akuma no Mi only has a single name and literally translates as “Devil Fruit”, indicating a hierarchical superiority over all other fruits. Akuma no Mi's powers allow Imu to transform into a devil and use a power he calls “God's Supremacy”, as officially confirmed in One Piece Chapter 1180, which was published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue 21 on April 20, 2026.
Loki: So your power is God's rule? I think you mean a deal with the devil!
Imu: God? Devil? what is the difference

8 Legendary Devil Fruits in the Final Saga of One Piece, Rated
One Piece has some legendary Devil Fruits that could come into play in the Final Saga of One Piece.
Imu's Devil Fruit is pretty versatile. Not only does it turn him into a devil god, but it also allows him to turn almost anyone into his demonic slave. Even characters as powerful as Rocks D. Xebec can be disposable with Imu's powers, as officially shown in One Piece Chapter 1162, and that's what makes him truly deadly. Imu can destroy an entire nation in seconds and slaughter millions without breaking a sweat. What's more, the Imu fruit also allows him to use what he calls his military power, an ability known as Omen or Maki. This special power presents itself as black flames that can transform into various weapons such as bullets and bombs, and can even be used to enhance both defensive and offensive abilities. A single hit from Omen is enough to take down characters like Zoro and even deal lethal damage to someone like Sanji who already has a very durable exoskeleton.
“The mark is my military power. The power that lies within all living things. It is human nature to desire power.” — Nerona Imu, One Piece Chapter #1181
Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Zaza Can Cancel All Devil Fruit Powers
On the other hand, the full power of Hito Hito no Mi Model: Zaza has not yet been shown in One Piece, but in the MMA version, this God has already proven to be deadly. Hito Hito no Mi Model: Zaza allows the user to essentially cancel any Devil Fruit abilities. After Blackbeard's Yami Yami no Mi, it is the only Devil Fruit ability capable of canceling other Devil Fruit abilities by causing mass flooding and submersion of entire terrains. Basically, it would prevent any Devil Fruit user from using their ability properly and instantly weaken them.
Apparitions to the rhythm of prayers for rain…God of rain Zaza! —Saint Killingham, One Piece Chapter 1182
Additionally, even the body of the rain god Zaza can be used to sink characters, as officially seen in One Piece Chapter 1183, which was officially released on May 24, 2026, in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump #26. The rain god Zaza is overwhelmingly overpowered, possessing the power to submerge entire lands and cause mass destruction through floods. Most importantly, it can nullify the abilities of characters like Nika and even the Devil God Nero Imu if used correctly, making it one of the most dangerous Devil Fruits to exist in the One Piece world.

“Let's deal with bathroom matters 'those with power.'” When a person eats a devil fruit, the sea rejects that person and their bodies become unable to swim. “Sea” here includes rivers, pools, bathtubs… anything that contains a pool of water. See, as far as Earth is concerned, everything is “sea.” — Eiichiro Oda, One Piece SBS
One Piece's Final Saga will feature more God Fruits competing with Nika
With the fruits of Akuma no Mi and Rain God Zaza already competing with Luffy's Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, there is now a precedent for introducing other gods in the series to compete with him. First up is the Devil Fruit of the former warrior god of Elbaf, and that is Ryu Ryu no Mi, model: Nidhoggr. This Devil Fruit was officially introduced in the series in Chapter 1175, which was published in Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump Issue #14, March 2, 2026. This Devil Fruit is incredibly overpowered as it allows the user to transform into the largest dragon in the entire world and manipulate lightning. It is an ability worthy of making the user the God of War of Elbaf and fighting on par with the Sun God Nika as officially stated in Chapter 1175.
Then there are two God abilities that are yet to be introduced, and they are the Forest God ability and also the Earth God ability. Both of these Devil Fruits were officially teased in One Piece Chapter 287, which mentioned the Sun God, Rain God, Forest God, and Earth God all at once. Since two of the four are now in the story, the other two are set to appear, and when they do come out, it is highly likely that their power will be on the same scale as the other two Gods of the One Piece world.
“Sun God, Rain God, Forest God, Earth God, please take the blood of this woman and save our village from disaster. — Shandian Elder, One Piece Chapter #287
All of these upcoming abilities are sure to excite us when they are revealed, and they will also prove to be a worthy match for Luffy's Niko ability. With this, Eiichiro Oda not only raises the stakes in Final Saga, but also makes the story even more exciting, despite the protagonist turning into a literal God.
