Full details of the Community Day event should be revealed sometime in July. That's likely when Niantic will announce the winner of the vote, as well as other bonuses like a potential Featured Attack. It's possible that Niantic changed the date to accommodate another in-game event, but the developer didn't offer a specific reason for the delay. With Niantic being quiet about the reasoning, fans will have to wait and see if anything else is announced on the previous date.
