Resident Evil fans have a brand new official release to look forward to on Thursday, July 30. The Resident Evil the franchise has been on a ridiculous hot streak for nearly a decade. While Capcom was definitely wrong Resident Evil 6, Resident Evil 7 things got back on track and it's been nothing but a banger as far as major leagues go ever since.
The latest major series Resident Evil the game is Resident Evil Requiemwhich launched earlier this year to rave reviews. Resident Evil Requiem reviews praised the game for expertly blending slow-motion first-person horror RE7 with explosive third-person action in games like Resident Evil 4. Resident Evil Requiem Amiibo Release Date and Price
Resident Evil RequiemThe Switch 2 port is particularly interesting as it will soon be getting its own set of amiibo figures. Capcom has confirmed that the previously announced Grace and Leon amiibo figures will be available on Thursday, July 30, with pre-orders now live. Scanning amiibo figures will grant players special weapon skins to use in-game, such as a neon skin for Grace's S&S M232 and a unique skin for the titular Requiem magnum. The amiibo figures are highly detailed, featuring Grace with a jacket and backpack and Leon wielding his trusty axe. The figures will likely be hard to come by and in fact have already sold out at retailers like GameStop, so fans should keep that in mind. The skins they are added to Resident Evil Requiem unlikely to give anyone too much FOMO, but the figures are great collectibles in their own right.
As for the more substantial content, we know that a Resident Evil Requiem story expansion is on the way. But what we don't know is what form it will take or when it will be available. While some believed that Resident Evil Requiem story DLC is due out by the end of the year, recent leaks and rumors have suggested that it could be after 2027 Resident Evil Veronica. Resident Evil Veronica is pegged for early 2027, so that means fans can wait quite a while Resident Evil Requiem story DLC.
Whenever Resident Evil Requiem story DLC comes out, it will be interesting to see what exactly it brings to the table. It will end up being one of many exciting ones to come Resident Evil projects, so while it's unbeatable, fans won't have to wait long for a new entry in the main series. Resident Evil Veronica is the only one confirmed right now, but reputable leakers have claimed that a Resident Evil Zero a remake is on the way, along with Resident Evil 10. It was also suggested that a second Resident Evil 1 a remake is also in the works, but again, none of these projects have been officially announced by Capcom at the time of writing.
