One Piece's The Elbaf Arch gave it's pretty important to Hakiand rightfully so. The series is in Final Saga right now, and that means straw pirates take on the world's most dangerous powerswhich are largely formed World government. Oda does not shy away from the fact that the main enemy is the world government One pieceand that defeating them will not be easy.

He is at the head of the world government the secret ruler of the world, Imu from the house of Nero, who rules the whole world. They are under Imu Five elders and Holy Knightsof which all own immortal body and great strength. Sanji unlocks Conqueror's Haki may have been a point of debate among fans at one point, but right now it's pretty clear that this power-up is inevitable for him. Sanji is incredibly strong and will certainly strike fear into the bones of some of the strongest characters in the story.

But even the power level he has right now isn't enough to see him defeat Imu's powers. to defeat them one must use Conqueror's Hakias revealed by Gaban. Right now, only Luffy and Zoro can use it, and Zoro can't even control it, so it's practically useless. If the straw pirates are to survive in Elbaf, they need strong Conqueror's Haki usersand therefore both Zoro and Sanji need to speed up.

Sanji in particular clearly stated that he felt the Conqueror's Haki within him. But unfortunately he has not yet awakened this power. That means it's only a matter of time before he gains this ability. Sanji meets all the criteria needed to obtain Conqueror's Haki. He has a very ambitious dream, just like finding One Piece, and he has courage. Sanji is also a born leaderwho took control of the straw pirates in the past and in every way one looks at him has the qualities of a king. Most importantly, Sanji is literally a prince, making him a potential prince and someone with the blood of the North Blue conquerors.

If that wasn't enough, Sanji is officially Scopper Gaban's parallel in the Straw Hat Pirates. In Roger Pirates, all three main fighters and both wings of the Pirate King could use Conqueror's Haki. It will be the same in Straw Hat Pirates as Sanji soon gains Conqueror's Haki.

Sanji needs Conqueror's Haki if he is to protect those he loves in Elbaf. Luffy, Loki, Gaban and Zoro have this power, but it's not enough. Sanji will also need access to it, otherwise he can't defeat the likes of Holy Knights or even Domi Reversi'd versions of Dorra and Brogy. Sanji gaining Conqueror's Haki is guaranteed at this point and it's only a matter of time before Oda shows him awakening it in One Piece.
