Superhero games they were once all the rage in the 80s and 90s. There were a lot of them Batman and Spider-Man games released on systems like the NES and SNES. While some of these games still look great today thanks to quality pixel art, they aren't what everyone wants to see.
A lot of players care about that top graphicsand there's nothing wrong with wanting the best of the best. While some of these games are nearly a decade old, they still hold up visually. For anyone who wants a a visually stunning superhero game that can easily be played on current hardware are games.
Marvel's Spider-Man 2
Anyone can wear a mask
Each Spider-Man the game from Insomniac looks great, with new and old characters, with a great new design. While the white strap on Peter's suit wasn't a complete makeover, it was a nice modern touch that carried over well into the latest game, MArvel's Spider-Man 2.
Peter and Miles share an engaging story that wouldn't be half as good without the character models and acting. The fluidity of the fights and swinging through New York also looks fantastic, and this current trilogy is among the best of the best for superhero games.
inFamous: Second son
Sony's forgotten superhero
inFamous: The second son launched around the same time as the PS4 launch and still looks good ten years later. It has a similar feel to X-Men universe as a secret government organization gathers mutants it deems dangerous.
Delsin is a street punk who gains the ability to steal powers from others, such as light and smoke based abilities. Second son was one of the best games to showcase the PS4's particle effects during combat, and time only helped it look great with one of the best versions of Seattle ever implemented in gaming.
Marvel's Avengers

Marvel's Avengers was an attempt to create a game with live services Fate 2 set in the Marvel universe. While the roadmap wasn't as well done with the post-game content, the base game, however short, at least delivered a good story campaign. A young Kamala Khan tries to help The Avengers get back together after a catastrophic event tears them apart and shatters the public's faith in superheroes.
Marvel's Avengers is another game with a great story that is well acted and sports well designed character models. The action is also well-animated for each playable character, from Kamala's stretching arms to Iron Man's laser blasts.
Gotham Knights
The bat family reunites
Gotham Knights is not directly tied to Arkham games, but still follows Batman's crusade to save Gotham. Unfortunately, Batman leaves after the opening and it's up to his replacement “bat” children to pick up the torch.
As Robin, Nightwing, Batgirl or Red Hood, players can patrol Gotham alone or with friends online in co-op. The story isn't as dynamic as other Batman games or many Marvel games, but the neon lights hitting the cold, dark streets of Gotham look good to explore, and the action isn't bad either.
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy
James Gunn would be proud
Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy it didn't get the attention it rightly deserved when it was released in 2021. It lacks Insomniac's open city Spider-Man games, and it's not the MCU version of familiar heroes that many fans are used to, but this spin on Guardians of the Galaxy is a lot of fun.
The tone follows similar themes from the MCU films, but the gameplay was rather similar Mass Effect. Players can only control Star-Lord, but can issue orders to other characters during combat. Out of all these superhero games, this is the one that looks the most unique with its alien planets, diverse alien races, and wild sci-fi effects.
Marvel's Midnight Sun
Pretty Stellar For A Card Game
Marvel's Midnight Sun is a tactical card game in which the heroes move and perform combat actions from the base deck. The character animations in cutscenes and fights aren't as polished as some other superhero games, but they still look really cool.
The plot revolves around players gathering a small group of heroes to stop the impending darkness from brainwashing heroes and villains alike. Narrative character choices and plenty of ways to enhance the roster of Marvel heroes' fighting potential make this strategy game a compelling purchase.
Injustice 2
Non-Mortals Kombat
Injustice 2 is a fighting game from Mortal Kombat team, NetherRealm Studios, which picks up where the first game left off. The original premise saw Superman and other Metahumans rise to power after deeming humanity worthless and unfit to rule. Batman assembled a team to stop them, and in this sequel, Batman must free Superman and other Metahumans to face a greater threat.
For a fighting game, the story is compelling, even if not all of the DC characters are as well known as the Marvel ones. NetherRealm Studios may not make the best lit games, but their character models and attention to detail in their injuries help. Injustice 2 protrude.
Saints Row 4
Evolve your hero
Saints Row 4 not based on a Marvel or DC property. Instead, it ups the ante from the previous one Saints Row game. As the President of the United States, players gain superpowers after an alien invasion and must use them to push back the invaders at all costs.
Players can customize how they want their abilities to grow, from super speed to creating shockwaves. It may be old, but the story and action are goofy Saints Row 4 it will make a lot of players look past the unrealistic graphics and see the artistic side of the developer's decisions.
