Modern survival horror game Crows of the earth recently hit an impressive milestone, surpassing over 100,000 copies sold, according to the developer. Most of the sales seem to come from Steam, the rest of the sales figures for Crows of the earth coming from PS5, Xbox Series X, Nintendo Switch and the recently released PS4 version.

An homage to classic survival horror that is heavily influenced by such Silent Hill and the original Resident Evil titles, Crows of the earth centers around a federal agent who investigates a mystery surrounding an abandoned amusement park. Along the way, players will encounter a variety of creepy enemies as they navigate fixed-camera environments, scavenge for resources, and solve puzzles in a similar vein to the games that inspired them.

Crow Country is growing its audience with impressive sales

SFB Games co-founder Tom Vian talked about the sales success Crows of the earth succeeded and stated how happy he was that so many different people were able to appreciate the work he and the company put into its production. He gave a heartfelt thank you to the fans who have poured so much praise on the game in the six months since its launch, and mentioned how perfect the timing is as well, given that Halloween is coming up so quickly.


The developer pointed out that it was a recent Nintendo Switch release Earth Crow this finally pushed the game past the 100,000 copies mark as it expanded its audience once more after the original release on Steam and console. To coincide with its monumental sales, SFB Games is also partnering with Fangamer to create exclusive merchandise for earth crow, seemingly including t-shirts, plushies and physical copies of the game, which will go on sale on October 29th.

As for the future earth crow, SFB Games doesn't seem to have any plans for follow-up content or other ports, likely focusing instead on future projects that will come later. In the meantime, however, survival horror fans have no shortage of games to play, among the highly successful ones Silent Hill 2 remake and recent re-release of the PS2 cult classic Siren on PS5.
