The mass assembly of the basic components of the Nintendo Switch 2 could begin
The Nvidia T239 SoC (system on a chip) is widely believed to be powering the Nintendo Switch 2, and data collected by LiC suggests that factories have been mass-producing core components for the console since at least late September 2024. Which, LiC's information also highlights some potential Switch 2 components, which were shipped in significant quantities such as RAM modules (803,500 units between suppliers Micron, Samsung and Hynix) and UFS storage (290,000 drives between Kioxia and Hynix).
In addition, Universo Nintendo expects that another component supply report should be shared in early December, which could shed more light on Nintendo's plans to mass-produce the Switch 2. Previous reports have claimed that Nintendo wants to avoid stock shortages for the Switch 2, which could mean that the console's release date will be pushed beyond March 2025.
