Studio Nugem TBH: Hero of the main panel is a gritty but super addictive tabletop idle game where most players run in the background, farming EXP, materials, gear and coins while living their lives. This pixel style RPG throws you into three acts in Normal, Nightmare and Torment modes with a team of three heroes.
Since it gives you a total of six character choices (two of which are available via DLC), choosing the strongest ones to invest in can be a struggle. For players who want to know which units perform best from start to finish of the game, check this out TBH level list guide. You can also find details about each character directly below the rating table.

How to sell items in TBH Task Bar Hero
Players can sell unwanted items in TBH: Task Bar Hero using the Cube's Alchemy option, which turns gear into gold and helps level up the cube.

If you're early in Act 1 without much equipment or higher level skill options, we recommend unlocking the Rune of Awakening (costs 50,000 gold coins) and equipping the two available skills on your chosen character (eg Rapid Fire and Scatter Shot for Ranger and Heal and Blessing of Might for Priest). Then just level your heroes to the region's recommended level (which you can check in the portal section) to clear the stages.
You also need to switch between units when needed. For example, we cleared Act stages 1-4 to 1-9 with a Warlock and a Warden, then swapped the Warden for a Priest in the boss sections (Blessing of Might increased the Sorcerer's damage by 90%, giving us an advantage to finish the round). We also completed Act 1-10 boss stage with only Sorcerer (Lvl.12) and Priest (Lvl.11).
Best TBH Task Bar Hero Characters
S-Tier Characters (Best)
- Ranger can literally solo all levels (normally torturous), but only if you equip high-end and fitting gear while also investing in runes of movement speed (Rune of the Gale) and attack speed abilities. She is a versatile hero who deals with all kinds of mobs, including ranged enemies that attack with fire, iron and other projectiles. This means she goes down too early, so run her with a Priest for healing and a Sorcerer, Hunter, or Knight for support when facing monsters and bosses.
- Priest is one of the best TBH characters. It is designed to constantly restore allies' and self's HP, which you need a lot to survive. Unlike most healers, he can surprisingly act as a solid tank if you invest your Skill Points in the right skills and abilities. Players can clear all of Act 1 with her Blessing of Might and Heal skills, then trade them for Wrath of Heaven to do Acts 2 and 3. Pair her with DPS abilities like physical damage buffs, though you'll still need a dedicated DPS unit to play her.
A-Tier Characters (Powerful)
- Sorcerer is great for AOE damage Main panel hero. He stays in the backline and sends mana from his staff to hit incoming mobs. As a damage dealer, he can take care of groups of enemies, so focus on Lightning and Meteor Strike skills along with fire and lightning damage abilities when building him. You'll also want to target crit damage. Just use it in normal mode alongside a Priest and/or a Ranger and you'll be fine.
- Hunter is a premium replacement for Warlocks with higher DPS and does well in all acts, especially Nightmare and Torment modes.. He has quite a lot of damage related specials; you might want to build her on crit chance, crit damage, dodge chance, attack and ultimates like Explosive Bolt and Frost Bolt.
B-Tier Characters (Situational)
- Although the Knight is a guardian, in our experience he is mostly a support hero. He's pretty much the weakest in the early game due to his melee nature, fighting enemies with projectiles. This means that at higher levels, skills like Aegis Field can protect a team from a swarm of tougher mobs and bosses, making it a situational unit. We recommend building it for late game play, ideal for the Act 3 phases of Nightmare and Torment modes. In general, you want to avoid using it for solo runs.
- Slayer looks strong on paper with ultimates like Crushing Bow (620% physical damage and 350% to nearby enemies), Ground Slam, and Bloodlust, but in practice it's just average. He works as an AOE damage character, but the downside is that he takes more damage than he deals, even at higher levels. His gear and equipment also have low DPS compared to most other units, holding him back. Hopefully it will be sharpened in the future.
