It serves as a passing card, stalling the match while players set up slow evolutions and powerful bench cards. Snorlax absorbs a lot of early game damage and only deals one point when Knocked Out.

What makes Snorlax great is its universal synergy. Even after Mythical Island introduced Druddigon, Snorlax remains the top choice for power-heavy decks and maintains its place as one of the best Colorless-Type tank cards in pokemon pocket.

A practical tool at a reasonable price

However, Meowth offers more consistency. For one colorless energy, he deals 10 damage and draws a card. As long as it remains in an active location, players can draw cards.

The downside is Meowth's low HP, making it easy for opponents to knock him out and disrupt draws. His Evolution, Persian, can help mitigate this weakness. However, Meowth and Persian have limited representation pokemon pocket's metagame and aren't very popular at the moment.

However, the new Tauros brings a technology-focused move: Fighting Tackle. For three colorless energy, Tauros (A1a #60) deals 120 damage, but the opponent must be a former Pokémon; otherwise the attack will only deal 40 damage.

Many META-relevant decks now include one Tauros as a backup tech card. After all, Tauros can be a former Pokemon killer in any deck, especially now that Leaf can draw this card for free.
