Healers and support casters are among the most famous RPG archetypes that players have come to recognize over the years. This also applies to the modern classic Baldur's Gate 3 with the surprisingly powerful and versatile Cleric class. To be honest, everyone's favorite romance, Trickery Domain Cleric Shadowheart, might have something to do with it.
Whether you want to be a reliable tank for your party and cast healing spells left and right or you just want to grill enemies in holy light, the Cleric is an extremely fun class. Here are some of the best feats you can achieve to make your holy servant even more effective.

11 Guard
Be the Goal
Sentinel is among the most powerful feats in the game, no matter what class or build you play as. It is versatile and gives you a lot of bonuses. Sentinel mostly targets your attacks of opportunity, giving you extra triggers, perks, and other effects on hit.
As a cleric, you'll likely be one of the characters in the group with the highest armor class (AC) and therefore have an easier time fending off incoming attacks. In such a case, it is very useful to keep dangerous enemies close to you and prevent them from leaving your vicinity and hurting other members of your party. Sentinel is the perfect act to do that.
10 Hard
Maximize health
It's hard to heal your injured allies when you're bleeding on the ground yourself. While Clerics traditionally have high AC, decent HP is also invaluable. Fortunately, Tough is great at helping with this. It's a very simple task that gives you two additional HP per level.
While this may seem insignificant, it's actually great in the long run. By level ten, you'll have an extra twenty HP, which can be enough to survive three to four extra hits. This can practically be the difference between victory and death, so Tough is worth it.
9 Ritual caster
Versatility of spells
While Clerics may be considered the dedicated healers of either party, they are surprisingly versatile. They are able to shoot incredibly powerful spells and useful magic. Ritual Caster adds another dimension to their versatility, which is always welcome.
With this feat, you gain access to two ritual spells from the list of very useful spells. These are all quality of life charms and include great like 
Talk to the dead, 
Dress upand 
Find acquaintances. Ritual Caster isn't as twisted as some of the other feats on this list, but it can be incredibly useful.
8 War Caster
Concentration is key
War Caster is a great choice for those who care less about utility and want to blast their enemies back where they came from. Both give advantage to concentration saving throws and allow you to use them 
Shocking grip spell as an attack of opportunity.
Clerics have some of the best concentration spells in their list, so War Caster feels ideal. With options such as 
Shield of Faith, 
Silence, 
Ghost Guardians, 
Expulsionnot only that, clerics can be incredibly powerful if they can focus on a specific spell at a certain time.
This feat does not add the Shocking Grasp spell to your spell list. So you won't be able to use it except as a reaction.
7 Resistant: Constitution
Throwing skills
Speaking of concentration, another way to buff is to grab the Resilient feat and choose Constitution as your stat. This feat increases the applicable ability by one and grants proficiency on the saving throw. Clerics, unlike Warlocks, naturally lack proficiency in their Constitution Saving Throws, so this is a perfect choice for them.
This feat can also help you round your Constitution score up to an even number if it's sitting on an odd number. While it's a tough choice most of the time between War Caster and Resilient, Clerics can benefit from both.
Your ability score modifiers only increase with each even number. Try to round all stats to the nearest even number to maximize bonuses.
6 Heavily armored
Impossible To Hit
While Armours-related feats are usually overlooked in Baldur's Gate 3 and D&D, there are certain instances where they can be very useful. Priests are the best example of this. Normally, a cleric starts the game with only light and medium armor abilities, which isn't too bad.
However, Clerics work best when they are almost impossible to hit as they keep their party healthy. So upgrading to heavy armor with this feat can absolutely pay off. Clerics can also control shields, so once you put on full plate armor or something, you can easily push your AC above 20. After that, you can just cast spells every round and watch incoming attacks not hit you.
5 Shield Master
Perfect defense for area spells
Speaking of being tanky, Shield Master also fits very well with a defensive Cleric build. This feat adds a +2 bonus to your Dexterity saving throws while shielded. It also allows you to take no damage on a successful Dexterity saving throw or half damage on a failed one.
Since the typical AC of clerics is so high, the common ways they can be hit are with AoE spells and AoE attacks. Shield Master is the perfect cure for this, making it even harder to remove your cleric. The fact that there are so many amazing shields in the game is the icing on the cake.
Assuming you're proficient, use a shield even if you don't use this feat. The +2AC is well worth it.
4 Mobile
Increased movement speed
Mobile is one of the best feats for a priest in Baldur's Gate 3. The increased movement speed allows you to quickly dodge attacks and heal allies on the other side of the battlefield.
Difficult terrain won't slow you down if you rush, so you can maneuver through the combat zone faster than your enemies. After making the attack, the targeted enemy cannot use an attack of opportunity against you, further benefiting your cleric during combat.
3 Spell Sniper
Increased critical hit range
While playing as an indestructible tank can be a lot of fun, clerics are capable of much more. In fact, they can rival wizards or warlocks with their destructive spells under certain circumstances. So why not double your attack and grab a Spell Sniper? This feat gives you an extra cantrip, but more importantly increases your critical hit range with spells.
This means you have twice the chance to critically hit with your offensive spells, of which you have tons. Spells such as 
Fire bolt, 
Guide screwand 
To cause wounds there are good enough reasons to pick this feat, and this feat even works with spells you can get from items or other sources, which is nice.
2 Elemental adept
Ignoring objections
Elemental Adept is a feat that is more focused on sniping classes; classes like Sorcerers or Wizards whose primary job is to deal high damage through spells. However, a Tailored Cleric can be just as effective at dealing magic damage and can absolutely take advantage of the Elemental Adept.
With this feat, you choose a damage type and ignore any resistance to that damage type that your enemies may have. Your damage with said type also gets a slight boost. Clerics have some great damaging spells such as 
Glyph of Warding and 
Flame Strikein addition to the other spells you receive from your subclass.
This feat only allows you to ignore resistances, not immunities.
1 Qualified
Ready for anything
When looking at the best feats, one tends to focus on the most statistical combat advantages. However, performance can be amazing even if it has no material advantage. For example, a skill will allow you to gain three additional skills. This is perfectly suited for a cleric; a wise and dedicated warrior who would know many things about the world.
Clerics are wisdom-based wizards, so high wisdom is already strong. Crucial skills like Insight, Perception, Survival, and Medicine all come from Wisdom to begin with. A cleric should also be somewhat versed in religion, history, and arcana. This venture is perfect for those looking for a way to immerse themselves in the world even more.
