One of the most important decisions is which team you will drive Football Manager 26and with so many leagues and teams to consider, now including women's football, the choice has never been harder. This article will present teams from different countries and at different levels, all of which are interesting in their own way.
While some teams with rich histories need rebuilding, others have never enjoyed great heights and deserve their time in the spotlight. There are also clubs that find themselves in special situations or stand out for one reason or another.
Truro City FC
- League: National League (England 5th tier)
- Budget: 5 thousand pounds
last season Truro City FC won the National League South and became the first team from Cornwall to reach the 5th tier of football in England and the players can try to take them even further. While keeping them in the National League will be difficult for the first year, the players could have an even more interesting time with them if they try to target Cornwall players or at least those from the South West.
Due to cultural links, Welsh players and players from Brittany in France may also be interested. Taking Truro City FC to the higher leagues could also help football take over from Rugby as the biggest sport in Cornwall and they could create a rivalry with Plymouth Argyle and Exeter City from neighboring Devon.
Wrexham AFC Women
Win the league and make the Welsh league a European threat
- League: Adran Premier (Welsh first tier)
- Budget: 20 thousand pounds
If female players are looking for a fun women's team in Football Manager 26then Wrexham AFC Women it can be a great shout. Unlike the men's game, all the top Welsh teams compete in Wales, not the English system. With Cardiff, Swansea and now Wrexham in the Adran Premier, this competitive league is a fresh experience.
It will be Wrexham's third year in the top flight and the players could lead them to a first title. The aim would then be to make the Welsh league a threat in Europe, something that is far more realistic in the women's game than the men's. Players could also focus on developing Welsh talent and, when international management returns to the game, take over the national team to lead Wales to glory.
Colon de Santa Fe
Recent Copa Sudamericana finalists at the bottom of Argentina's 2nd tier
- League: Primera Nacional (Argentine 2nd tier)
- Budget: 375 thousand
After decades in the first tier of Argentine football and even appearing in the Copa Sudamericana, Colon de Santa Fe now she finds herself at the bottom of the second tier and her prospects look bleak.
For those unfamiliar with domestic soccer in Argentina, the unique two-group league setup with semi-annual tournaments and plenty of interesting rules can make for a nice shake-up from traditional soccer leagues. There is also a chance to find incredible local talent, some of whom could become big global stars.
Brighton & Hove Albion
Continue with Moneyball & Modern Tactics but eventually get Brighton to the top
- League: Premier League (1st tier in English)
- Budget: 100 million pounds
for years Brighton & Hove Albion they have impressed everyone in the football world, on and off the pitch. Tactically modern managers such as Graham Potter, Roberto de Zerbi and Fabian Hurzeler have brought unique set-ups and systems to the south coast, while the recruitment department finds bargain after bargain with a data-driven approach.
This makes Brighton the perfect club to try them all out FM 26 new features. With possession and out-of-possession tactics, players have even more control and can go crazy, perhaps reviving Hurzeler's tactics from his time at FC St. Pauli. The transfer system has also changed so players can test out new ways to Moneyball on their way to success. The aim should also be to finally get Brighton into the top four, perhaps by keeping a few of their stars instead of selling them all to Chelsea.
FC AD Ceuta
Spanish team from the African continent
- League: La Liga 2 (Spanish 2nd tier)
- Budget: £0
At the tip of Morocco, opposite Gibraltar, is the Spanish autonomous city of Ceuta. Although their team is on the African continent, FC AD Ceutahe plays in the Spanish football system and recently made it to the 2nd tier.
This makes them an interesting club to manage, especially when developing young talent and creating a unique identity. The aim could be to support both Spanish and Moroccan players and to get into La Liga and compete with giants like Barcelona and Real Madrid would be a huge moment and really put Ceuta on the map.
FC Girondins de Bordeaux
The French giants are rebuilding their entire club in the 4th tier
- League: Championnat National 2 (French 4th level)
It's always sad to see a football club fall apart due to financial instability and other problems off the pitch. Until recently, FC Girondins de Bordeaux they were one of France's biggest sides but a rocky couple of years meant they went into administration and were eventually forcefully relegated to the 4th tier and had to relinquish their professional status.
So taking over Bordeaux means rebuilding everything from the ground up and it will be many years before they can even think about challenging for the French title, which they only won in 2009.
