players.
Hardcore roguelite FPS Witch fire puts the player in the role of a witch hunter, or Preyer, who takes on a powerful witch and her minions. The strength of the opposition means the witch hunter will need more than cold steel to do the job. Still, when all else fails, guns are what hunters will rely on the most.
With even more weapons added after the Ghost Galleon update, there is now a good selection of firearms for the Preyer to load up with. Most of the weapons in the game are viable once players have enough experience with them.

Witchfire: Best Classes, Rated
While they only affect your early game, their starting loadout makes some classes better than others in Witchfire.
However, since players can also load spells, relics, rings, and fetishes, there are some powerful synergies available that make certain weapons a better choice than others. These weapons are the best Witch fire when used effectively.
10 Rotweaver
Fully automatic pistol
The Rotweaver may have the lowest damage per shot of any weapon v Witch firebut it more than makes up for it with the highest rate of fire and biggest clip. Once upgraded to higher levels of Mysterium, it is also highly effective at spreading Decay.
Despite this little damage, the Rotweaver will drain enemy health quickly. Once players start spreading Decay around, they can also regenerate bullets from kills. This makes him great for sustaining damage and creating powerful elemental combos.
9 Striga
Stake thrower
Placing bets Striga it's powerful and fun to use. He can send smaller enemies flying and even pin them to walls. This weapon would be much higher on this list if it weren't for its biggest flaw – it's difficult to use in the heat of battle.
If this sounds like a skill issue, it is. However, due to the firing mechanism and projectile travel time, the Striga will prove to be a difficult weapon to master, even for players accustomed to using assault rifles and snipers. To balance this, the Striga's damage loss is high and the weapon fires faster than one would expect, comparable to a bolt-action rifle.
8 Hunger
Hard hitting pistol
Hunger is a revolver with high damage and difficult to master but satisfying execution of mechanics. At higher levels of the Mysterium upgrade, each critical hit before charging grants a charged bullet in the next magazine that deals more damage.
As the weapon is upgraded, more critical points before charging means more damage per charged bullet. Hitting all six shots as critical hits provides even stronger bonuses, making the next stack's first shot a guaranteed hit that also freezes enemies.
Hitting all those critical shots is easier said than done, but for players who want to target weak spots and critical damage, Hunger is an essential weapon.
7 Hail
Devastating sniper rifle
Hail has the highest base damage of any non-demonic weapon in the game. It also has a very low ammo count due to its basic mechanics. With Hailstorm, you get three consecutive critical hits that return two bullets to the current magazine.
This effect improves with further thorough levels of Mysterium, giving the player better handling and approach distance, less flinching, and a light bullet homing effect. At max buffs, players will also trigger a freezing shockwave on the third crit. The downside is that any misses or manual reloads will reset the buff.
This means that Hailstorm is devastating with consecutive crits, but players will run out of ammo instantly if they miss too many shots. Shooting while aiming is also worth the stamina. Those are two big reasons why this gun isn't on the list above.
6 Vulture
Bloodthirsty Crossbow
Vulture was the first demonic weapon available in Witch firebefore recent updates added more options. Its high damage bolts seek out additional targets after hitting, making it a highly effective weapon for getting out of situations where players find themselves outnumbered.
The ammo consumption of demonic weapons means that the Vulture cannot be used as freely as most main weapons. It's mostly useful as a get out of jail free card for hordes that get out of hand, or when players need to pile up damage on a boss while mitigating adds.
5 Ricochet
Automatic mob killing rifle
The Ricochet is an automatic rifle that can mark targets and deflect bullets between them. With Mysterium upgrade levels, aiming down at an enemy will mark them. Three enemies can be marked, then any hit on any marked enemy will be reflected on the remaining two.
Additional buff levels provide a first-hit stun effect, helping to make the Ricochet an effective weapon for fighting mobs of smaller enemies. The Ricochet is a nice, straightforward gun, with a good clip size and less worry about perfect accuracy than other options.
4 Hypnosis
High skill rifle
Hypnosis is a lightning rifle that can deal massive damage in the hands of a patient player. Aiming at sights with Hypnosis charges the projectile with extra damage that increases the longer the player aims.
Other buffs load the damage towards the end of the charge, so perfectly timed shots will increase the damage significantly. Once the weapon is fully upgraded, consecutive perfect shots will deal additional lightning damage.
This means that patiently waiting for a shot when under pressure from enemy attacks is not the easiest strategy to pull off. However, the damage boost with Hypnosis is worth the effort.
3 Shooting star
Demon Grenade Launcher
The Shooting star is a more recent addition witch fire, and it is powerful. This demonic weapon has the highest base damage in the game and deals explosive damage. As if that wasn't enough, players can shoot at the enemy while aiming the sights and the grenades will attack them.
As with the other demonic weapons, there are no Mysterium enhancements for the Falling Star. That said, with its destructive base power level, it doesn't really need them. Another thing to consider is that players can take damage from Falling Star blasts, so it's best to use it from a distance.
2 Hangfire
Explosive hand cannon
The Hangfire hand cannon is one of the funnest weapons Witch fire. With a mechanic it looks like it came straight from Border space, Hangfire fires grenades that stick into their target and explode when the player reloads.
Higher Mysterium upgrade levels make the weapon really shine. The second level of enhancement increases the damage for each enemy that has a shot stuck in it. The third tier makes Burn enemies bursts, which offers great synergy for Burn-focused builds and elemental combos.
The utility of elemental damage, along with its ease of use, makes Hangfire a more popular choice than the other cannon variant, Hunger.
1 Psychopomp
Ultimate Shotgun
The Psychopomp the shotgun offers a high-damage, high-risk, close-range fighting style that's a great fit. Each charged melee kill restores half of the weapon's magazine, and at the last level of the Kill Mystery upgrade, it restores charged melee kills to players.
This lends itself to the playstyle of getting in enemies' faces and dealing a lot of damage quickly without having to stop and reload. Each consecutive hit with this weapon also deals more damage to enemies, meaning Pyschopomp can help deal with tanker enemies.
Getting within range of melee enemies is a big risk Witch firealthough. This means that Psychopomp is best suited to crowd control spells like Shockwave or Frost Cone. Once players get into the rhythm of using Pyschopomp, the fast and brutal gameplay is a lot of fun.
