Official Pokemon channels acknowledged a continued error with Pokemon Legends: ZA which prevents players from getting the Mega Stone rewards they expect from ranked battles. The problem has not been solved yet, but Pokemon Legends: ZA players were offered some insight into the problem and what would be done about it.
Pokemon Legends: ZA players participated in the game's Ranked Battles, which pit four players against each other in real-time online Pokemon battles. Pokemon Legends: ZA launched Season 2 of its Ranked Battles on November 5 with a number of rewards that players can potentially pick up depending on their performance. This includes Delphoxite, the Mega Stone used to turn Delphox into Mega Delphox, and the second chance Greninjite that was originally available in the first season. However, some players who reached the levels necessary to get the stones did not get them.
Pokemon Responds to Pokemon Legends: ZA Mega Stone Ranked Bug
After players reported that they would not receive the Mega Stones they expected from participating in the new Ranked Battle Season, the official Pokemon channels issued a tweet confirming that the team is aware of the issue. Unfortunately, it has not been announced when a patch will be released to fix the problem, as the cause is still under investigation. The machine-translated tweet indicated that steps would be taken to ensure affected players “can get it,” but did not specify how at the time.
Since the current rated season of Pokemon Legends: ZA It has barely started, hopefully the team will be able to fix this issue before it affects the majority of the player base. Since Delphoxite is rewarded at S rank and Greninjite is redistributed at Y rank, those who have not yet participated in ranked battles may want to wait until the issue is fixed. The season is currently scheduled to end on November 25th, so even if the fix will take a bit longer, there should be plenty of time left to participate. There is also a chance that the rated season could be extended to help correct the mistake.
While most of those responding to the news seem to be taking the matter in stride, it sure would be good to get these issues resolved sooner rather than later. Pokemon Legends: ZA is getting its first DLC in the form of Mega Dimension on December 10th, and bugs like this could potentially make players angry at the thought of spending an extra $29.99 for the game. With any luck, the patch will arrive quickly and there won't be any major bugs before the DLC release date.
