Jujutsu Kaisen: Gojo's Ending, Explained
Since JJK recently ended, many fans were unhappy with Goya's ending in the story.
Still, JJK's the ending doesn't change the fact that this has been a story fans have enjoyed to the max over the last 6 years or so, with some chapters keeping them on the edge of their seats and others just blowing them away. All intensive events in JJK finally ended with chapter 271 and now the story of these magnificent wizards has finally come to a close.
At the end, a new curse user was revealed
- Yuji, Megumi and Nobara fought against the new curse user
- Yuji accepts Gojo's Dream
Jujutsu Kaisen Chapter 270 introduced fans to a new curse user. This was another interesting addition by the author, but also calculated. At first, fans were completely confused as to why the author would introduce a new enemy just one chapter before the end of the story. Later, however, it finally became clear to the fans why this was so. IN JJK In chapter 271, this curse user was revealed to be a somewhat timid individual who seemed to be upset about a woman not reciprocating his love. Because of this, he used his newfound powers to cause problems in her life.
I expect great things from you once you join us! – Yuji Itadori
This bitter man was naturally biased for his behavior. It was quite strange for the fans to see this individual defeated so easily. However, fans were then treated to a flashback of Gojo, where he entrusted everything to Yuji Itadori and showed him how to properly raise the next generation. Now, Yuji used this moment to deliver a similar message to this individual, letting him know that he expected great things from him in the future once he mended his ways. This was quite an exciting touch from the author and he just wanted to show that Yuji is now much more mature than he was at the beginning of the series and that even though the world is much safer right now, Yuji would need a powerful group around him to fight the monsters that crosses his path.
Gojo's Dream given to Yuji Itadori
Gojo is dead, but his dream lives on
Of course, you can't talk about that JJK's ending without considering Gojo Satoru's character. Gojo is the face JJKand despite not being the main character, he is quite easily the most popular. Gojo died in his battle against Sukuna in JJK Chapter 236. It was an absolutely spectacular battle that he fought to the best of his abilities. Unfortunately, all of this wasn't enough as Sukuna had the abilities of not only his own cursed technique, but Megumi's as well. The two cursed techniques basically combined to give him an advantage over the strongest modern wizard and basically kill him.
Gojo is officially confirmed to be dead, but it's incredibly strange for the author to not acknowledge his death further into the story. In fact, every character in JJK has had their life affected by the Goj in one way or another, and it's safe to say that he's at the center of everything. It was definitely a failure on the part of the author not to even mention Gojo properly in the last few chapters.
One of you should forget about me and get a power that is different from mine. – Goyo
For what it's worth, in the last chapter of JJK, fans got to see Gojo Satoru again. In a flashback with Yuji where the two were training together. Gojo felt that he had absolutely nothing to fear because he knew that the generation that would come after him was capable and would continue to reach a level similar to him or even surpass him. While Yuji felt that Gojo's behavior was strange, to Gojo it was sheer confidence.
Gojo knew that even if he lost the battle against Sukuna, the future of the world was in safe hands. He then told Yuji that he expected great things from him in the future and basically Goju's dream became Yuji's dream.

Jujutsu Kaisen: Gege Akutami finally confirms Uraume's gender
Gege finally sheds light on the question many fans have had about Uraume's gender in JJK.
Gojo wanted the Jujutsu order to change and fans saw that happen in real time over the course of the last few chapters, especially when the higher ranks were basically all eradicated and at the same time those trying to dominate the Jujutsu hierarchy monopolizing the simple domains were also . Now, Goya's dream is basically close to coming true, but at the same time, fans can also conclude that this was definitely not the best ending for him.
The legend Ryomen Sukuna finally dies
Sukuna finally gets the meaning of love
Of course, then there is also the character of Ryomen Sukuna to discuss. Sukuna did well in the Showdown Shinjuku arc. He went up against a number of wizards and held his own incredibly well. Sukuna was certainly a force to be reckoned with in this battle and it's safe to say that the performance he put on was definitely worthy of the title he holds. In the end, Sukuna was defeated by Yuji and basically what was left was a single finger that shouldn't have enough cursed energy in it to even manifest. This finger was basically harmless now and simply served as a talisman.
Sukuna was also seen in the afterlife where he looked back on his life and finally accepted that he was the way he was because he was an unloved person. In the end, Sukuna decided that if there was another chance for him, maybe he would take a different path, this time full of love.
Meanwhile, the other characters in JJKlike Megumi and Nobara, they continued to work alongside Yuji Itadori. These are the faces of Jujutsu High right now and they continue to fight the cursed spirits while bringing peace to the world. The other characters, such as Yuta, Maki, Toge, and Hakari, among others, go about their daily lives as if nothing had happened, and this basically served as the end for JJK.
Sukun's finger served as the last panel of the series, and it was essentially symbolic. It's clear that JJK's ending wasn't as good as fans wanted, but it certainly wasn't the worst either. No sequel or spin-off for JJK has been announced yet, but that could potentially change in the future depending on what the writer wants to do for his next project.
The final chapter of Jujutsu Kaisen, JJK 271, was finally released on September 29, 2024. Fans can read the series on Manga Plus and Shonen Jump apps.
