The Finals is getting a PS5 Pro update

Popular shooting game with live service Final is the latest addition to the growing list of enhanced games for the PlayStation 5 Pro. Although developer Embark Studios has yet to reveal details final' PS5 Pro patch, preliminary testing suggests the first-person shooter runs smoother on the upgraded console.

Developed by Embark Studios and published by Nexon, Final launched in December 2023 and immediately caught the attention of players thanks to its unique game show concept. Basically a first-person PvP shooter, FinalThe game loop involves two teams pitted against each other in a series of combat-oriented game modes. The game's massively destructible environments further add to the fun and encourage players to strategize. A short miracle, then, isn't it Final It racked up 10 million players just 15 days after release.

Embark Studios updates frequently Final with new seasons to address community feedback and add new content. With the game now approaching its one-year anniversary, Embark Studios has improved Final for PS5 Pro users also. The studio announced a patch for the PS5 Pro Final at the 2024 Golden Joystick Awards, but surprisingly didn't elaborate on what players can expect from the upgraded version of the shooter. However, some Final gamers have been testing the PS5 Pro patch to see what it contains.

YouTuber PS5 Pro Rob tested Final after the PS5 Pro patch was launched recently, but the improvements are not specified in the game either. They recorded it FinalThe video settings menu doesn't have any graphics toggles on the PS5 Pro, which is a bit strange since most other enhanced games for the PS5 Pro offer performance and fidelity options that clearly outline what this means. It also seems that Final it does not offer a high refresh rate setting of 120 Hz for PS5 Pro users, which is unfortunate because the smoother framerate is very slow for first-person shooters. PS5 Pro Rob noted this Final it looks like it's running at a more stable 60fps on the PS5 Pro, but without a proper framerate chart it's hard to be sure.

FinalSo the PS5 Pro upgrades seem to be much more moderate than other games. The apparent lack of a 120fps mode is also a missed opportunity, and one can only hope that Embark Studios has plans to expand PS5 Pro support further. Final. However, this may take some time as the developer is currently working on the PS4 version Finalwhich is scheduled to start on December 12.
