7 Snorlax: Chilling Reign (Secret Rare) – $61.32
A bright start
This prized Snorlax from Chilling Reign starts off with a beautiful dark blue glossy color change as the Snorlax glows with golden reflections surrounding it. This Pokémon's satisfied smile and belly rub indicate that it has recently finished a juicy meal, leaning into the Pokémon's personality and adding to its appeal.
Due to the relatively recent release of Chilling Reign, this card is most commonly found in light plays
(LP)
or near mint
(NM)
conditions.
Snorlax's pricing chart is a tumultuous place with trends that mimic the look of mountains, e.g. this card has seen massive jumps and drops in value. Snorlax ended 2023 at a low of around $71 and fell to $63 in spring 2024. It jumped again to $75 in the summer of 2024, but quickly fell back to $60 as the year ended.
Lazy afternoon
Snorlax's Pokemon Center exclusive promo featuring Pidgey is one of the latest additions to Snorlax's impressive roster of valuable cards. This art speaks for itself, as this typical depiction of Snorlax gives us everything we could want from this sleepy Pokemon.
Like his Chilling Reign card, Snorlax saw a decline in value at the end of 2023, but in 2024 this card began an incredible journey to new heights. it has risen from around $35 to double to nearly $70. There's plenty of time for this card to continue its meteoric rise, but it's hard to tell where the momentum will stop and settle.
Diving into triple digits
While it doesn't have enough support to make it one of Sword & Shield's most expensive cards, this Snorlax promotion deserves its three-figure price tag. Snorlax goes into the big leagues with this lighthearted piece of art emblazoned with staff and pre-sale promotional stamps.
Employee promotions like these achieve high value due to their incredibly limited print run and distribution.
This card is very hard to find on TCGplayer, with a single LP selling for $80 to set the market price, with no current offers. Snorlax Vivid Voltage prerelease staff promo is easy the hardest to find on this list and could continue to rise in price as its rarity increases.
4 Eevee & Snorlax GX: Team Up (Secret Rare) – $120.04
A little help from a friend
Snorlax gets a surprise visit from Eevee in one of the coolest cards in the expensive Team Up list. This Secret Rare dons the iconic rainbow color palette introduced in the Sun and Moon era, which you'll find on some of the most expensive cards of the generation.
Now might be the time to buy this Snorlax and Eevee Tag Team, as this card was previously selling for around $140 in late 2023, but has continued to drop, stopping its descent just north of $100. With support for this important benchmark, this card should probably see numbers climb back towards the low to mid 100s.
3 Snorlax LV. X: Rising Rivals (Ultra Rare) – $190.00
Hungry for more
If you're tired of all the depictions of Snorlax sleeping, then this live version from Rising Rivals gives Snorlax a different vibe than we're used to as he lunges towards us energetically with his arm raised.
While it's not entirely clear if Snorlax's hand has just finished throwing food down its gullet, or if it's putting it there as it yawns, both interpretations fit this hungry Pokémon.
Snorlax Lv. The X is available in a full spectrum of condition, with a damaged copy starting around $50, even if it's heavily played (HP) cards can sometimes sell for around $40. Moderately played (MP) cards are approaching $60, while LP sales jump as high as $169 in some cases one NM sale for $180.
2 Snorlax: Jungle First Edition (Holo Rare) – $208.82
Take a rest
This early depiction of Snorlax in the jungle is a classic and is probably the most iconic depiction of this sleepy Normal-type Pokemon. Snorlax barely peeks through his full stomach to give us a satisfied wave, presumably as he prepares to return to a comfortable slumber.
Be careful not to sleep on first edition copies of this card though, as those can start at $33 in damaged condition, go up to $45 for HP, and then closer to $100 for MP. There have been some sales lately NM condition that limits $165, leaving a special gap between the market price of that card and the sale.
1 Rocket's Snorlax Ex: Team Rocket Returns (Ultra Rare) – $499.99
Eat well
This expensive Rocket's Snorlax is one of the most valuable Rocket's cards in the TCG and claims the crown as the top dog among all Snorlax cards. Snorlax eats food just as its prize eats competition in a one-sided fight.
Like the pre-release staff promo, this Snorlax is very rare, though not unaffordable, as HP sales start at $150. MP cards jump to $200 while LP climbs to $250 followed by the last NM sale for an astronomical $499.99.
