Marvel Rivals skins are already being assembled
Many skins inside Marvel Rivals they are simply available in the Blue Coin Shop called Units. These units can be purchased with a grid, Marvel Rivals' premium currency that costs real money. Additional skins are available through the game's Battle Pass, Redemption Codes, Achievement Points, and Twitch Drops.
Some skins are available exclusively for certain consoles or subscribers. For example, players can get the “Scarlet Spider” Spider-Man costume for free through the PlayStation Store if they own a PS5, and the “VEN#m” Peni Parker skin for free through the PlayStation Store if they're a PlayStation Plus subscriber.
WITH Marvel Rivals by promoting these skins and adding more to the game, it makes sense that the game implemented new skins that players can get for free. However, while these new free skins are definitely something for players to be excited about, the Golden Moonlight skin for Moon Knight in particular has a high barrier to entry: the competition rankings.
Gold competitive players will receive Moon Knight's Golden Moonlight Skin
The addition of Moon Knight Marvel Rivals leaked before the announcement. The character exists in a sort of liminal space between niche and popular, as the character received his own live-action limited series on Disney Plus. As a character in Marvel RivalsMoon Knight is a Duelist that can deal a devastating amount of AOE damage if not kept in check. As the character begins to establish himself as one of the best characters Marvel RivalsPlayers will definitely want to spice up their game with the Moon Knight skin.
Marvel Rivals competitive mode
Promote Marvel RivalsIn competitive mode, the game announced that players who reach the gold rank will unlock the Golden Moonlight skin for Moon Knight. There doesn't appear to be any specific gold rank level required for the player to unlock the skin; just hitting Gold 3 will be enough to unlock this new skin.
For competitive players, this new skin looks like a great addition. However, players looking to unlock Golden Moonlight will need to reach level 10 first to unlock the competitive game. Additionally, it is unclear if Golden Moonlight will only be available in Season 0 Marvel Rivals or if this skin will be unlockable by hitting gold rank in future seasons. WITH Marvel Rivals With Season 0 ending on January 9th, players have about a month to unlock this new Moon Knight skin Marvel Rivals.
