And if the Switch 2 is anything like Nintendo's past consoles, it's likely to be home to a lot of Ubisoft games.
Ubisoft has shown great support for Nintendo platforms for decades. Ubisoft has released some limited-time exclusives on Nintendo consoles and has even collaborated with Nintendo on games in the past. It now appears that Ubisoft's support for Nintendo will continue with the Switch 2, whenever the new console is finally released to the masses.

Based on leaked information about the console, here's how the Switch 2 might compare in size to the original console.
According to a leak by Nate the Hate, Ubisoft has big plans for Switch 2. A recent video claimed that Ubisoft plans to release Assassin's Creed Mirage in the Switch 2's initial “window,” which would mean it's coming to the console by the end of the year. That was also claimed Assassin's Creed Shadows it's also coming to Switch 2, but it won't be as part of the new console's launch window. Other Ubisoft games expected to come to Switch 2 include Rainbow Six Siege and Divisionas well as possible Mario Rabbids collection that would come together Mario + Rabbids Kingdom Fight and Sparks of hope. This isn't the first time we've heard news of Ubisoft games coming to the Nintendo Switch 2. A separate leak from last year claimed that Ubisoft plans to bring more Assassin's Creed games on Switch 2. Mirage and Shadows were mentioned in the previous leak alongside Assassin's Creed Valhalla, Odysseyand Origins.
Now, it's worth noting that the Switch 2 is backwards compatible, so it'll have access to a huge range of Ubisoft games right out of the gate. This would include Assassin's Creed Odyssey. But if the rumors about Ubisoft's Switch 2 plans are true, then it looks like the handheld could very well become a great choice for fans AC a franchise that wants to take experiences on the road.
It really wouldn't be surprising if the rumors of Ubisoft's planned Switch 2 support turn out to be true. As some may recall, Ubisoft also aggressively supported the Wii U, and with the Switch 2 practically guaranteed to be a huge hit, it's really hopeless for most publishers to start working on games for the device.
