Nick Thornborrow has revealed a bunch of Dragon Age: The Veilguard narrative sketches.
-
Among them is a scrapped romance scene with Lucanis that is far more raunchy than what we got in the game.

The two get skinny and dive into Tevinter, go on Gondala, and even go up against a sword-happy Spite.
Former Dragon Age: The Veilguard artist Nick Thornborrow has revealed several narrative sketches detailing everything from Solas' opening ritual to Ghilan'nain's attack on Weisshaupt. But what really stands out is the cut romantic scene with Lucanis.
For a man with a demon living inside him, Lucanis' romance is surprisingly vanilla. There's an implied sex scene, but it ends with you snuggling on the couch as the two of you talk the night away. Thornborrow's art paints a very different picture.
Lucanis' purple wings appear, his eyes glow, and he kisses Rook passionately (after he pulls a gun on them, of course). It then cuts to the couple having fun in Lake Treviso before moving to the gondola boat to make out in the dirty shadows of the tunnel. It's much riskier and more adventurous than snuggling up at home.
Fans are upset over the scrapped romance scene
Fans are already agreeing that this scrapped Lucanis romance scene is much better than what we got, with one commenter even claiming it should have been left for when Rook and Lucanis snuck out at the party.
“This is the second time BioWare has robbed me of a lake sex scene with my chosen romance, which isn't much, but it's weird that it happened twice,” wrote one Reddit user.
“WE COULD HAVE SHAGGGGGGGGGGAGE CO THE FU** BIOWARE LAKE,” reads one comment a little more passionately.
It's a shame that Lucanis' romance is so basic, but the community is already feeling inspired by these new sketches, so get ready for a wave of spicier fan-fic and fan art by the river.
Dragon Age: The Veilguard is the long-awaited fourth game in BioWare's fantasy RPG series formerly known as Dragon Age: Dreadwolf. The direct sequel to Inquisition focuses on red lyrium and Solas, the aforementioned Dread Wolf.
