Webfishing, the gorgeous multiplayer casual game that launched last month, has just added a new title. This was after a Steam user struggled with the fact that there was no way to identify themselves as straight, prompting the developer to add the title to the latest patch.
However, there are two catches. First of all, the heading is “equal”. Yes, in quotes. Second, it won't cost you $75 in game currency – it will cost you $9,999.
Webfishing entertains players who wanted a “straight” title
As Rock Paper Shotgun points out, this all comes from someone asking for a straight tag in the discussion section of the Webfishing Steam page. “I need a straight title,” they said. “We have gays, we have trans, we have pan, we have bi. when he came out straight. [sic]”.
Now, looking at the recent patch notes, it seems that the developer, lamedeveloper, had a bit of fun with it, writing: “Added the title “Straight”. It costs $9999.”
So, there you have it, random Steam user. You'd better save because you'll need to catch a lot of fish to afford it. And even then the best you get is “straight” I'm afraid.
