What to expect from the chapter

Togashi worked on Hunter x Hunter continuously for some time and HxH chapter 407 is highly anticipated. The HxH story heads deep into its current arc as a succession contest takes place within the Black Whale. Togashi has written many complex stories that all tie together here in the end.

Fans can definitely expect an intense focus on the Phantom Troupe, as this arc seems to mark their end, or at least the end of their leader, Chroll Lucilfer. Togashi is definitely planning something huge for the next chapters.

Heil-Ly and the Phantom Troupe in action

• Dogman and Sodom kidnap someone
• Feitan and Phinks find Heil-Ly's hideout

In Hunter x Hunter 404, Morena and her group were seen planning to kidnap someone. Specifically, Dogman will be seen in action as Morena's strongest man and a top level man who has the ability to determine someone's Nen type, expertise, and their entire identity depending on how close he gets to sniff them. Dogman is also accompanied by Sodom, another member of Heil-Ly. Their goal on this mission, using Halkenburg's funeral procession, will be to kidnap an individual – someone who can't yet use nen.

While chapter 404 didn't mention who this individual would be, Morena and Heil-Ly had already narrowed down chapters earlier. The person Morena was targeting to kidnap is likely someone from the 4th Prince Tserriednich's private army. Some of them could certainly be present at the funeral procession. At this point it is unknown who Morena will kidnap and fans will have to wait to see what Togashi is up to.

However, in HxH 407, fans could definitely see this plan unfold as Halkenburg's funeral procession progresses. That won't be the only thing going on with Heil-Ly. Two members of the Phantom Troupe soon break into their hideout. Separated from Nobunaga, Feitan and Phinks are still heading to Heil-Ly's hideout as Cha-R has given them better access to move between the different levels of the Black Whale. However, as fans saw in HxH 406, the transmitter that Hinrigh turned into an oyster has run out of Nen and will soon be discovered by a member of Heil-Ly. That means Heil-Ly might not find it in time and the Phantom Troupe might get to their hideout first. There might be a fight there, but Feitan and Phinks don't plan to fight, except in self-defense so they can stay in cover.

One individual who could certainly get in their way is Wang, Cha-R's underboss, who appears to be working for Morena. The plot with the Phantom Troupe and Heil-Ly is definitely heating up and Togashi is planning something huge with these two groups.

Another character that Togashi will focus on soon is Nobunaga. This Spider member has had one of the best developments in this arc. Nobunaga moves alone and will be the main character in the upcoming chapters.

Chrollo proceeds to steal national treasures

The Phantom Troupe plays a central role in this succession contest arc in the manga. The most interesting character among them is of course, unsurprisingly, Chrollo Lucilfer, their leader. Chrollo was recently seen in HxH 406. In this chapter, he was seen using Nen's brand new ability, Love Dial 6700, and fans were given a glimpse of his current goals. Chrollo's goal is to steal the treasure, specifically the three Kakin national treasures. If he succeeds, his Skill Hunter ability will reach new heights and allow him to gain rare and powerful abilities.

IN Hunter X Hunter chapter 407, fans will definitely see more of Chroll. Chrollo will have to find a way to steal these treasures, most likely all by himself, or perhaps with a partner. He will be heading to the first level in the Black Whale. Chrollo uses the Love Dial 6700 to find someone, but who that person is remains unknown for now. There is a hint that this person could be Kurapika. Regardless, Chrollo will shine in the upcoming chapters, especially since this arc may be his last in HxH.

Hisoka and Chrollo will have a rematch in this arc, and when Hisoka takes out some of Chrollo's fellow Phantom Troupe, it sends him even deeper into despair. Hisoka could soon kill another member of the group, which is Bonolenov, who is currently near him.

The story returns to the Kakini princes and Kurapika

Halkenburg's plan is currently in action

Togashi tackled multiple storylines in this arc, each one extremely detailed and complex. He recently switched from focusing on Prince Kakin to focusing on the mafia and the Phantom Troupe storyline, and he could very well be switching back to the princes soon. Hunter X Hunter chapter 407. The fascinating character in this arc is Prince Halkenburg. This prince killed his original body and is currently in the body of the bodyguard of the first prince Benjamin. The story could focus on his attempt to get to Benjamin. However, chaos soon breaks out at his own funeral procession.

Other interesting prince plots currently in the works include the one with Prince Fugetsu. Melody and her group intend to kill Prince Luzurus in an attempt to save Fugetsu, and such an assassination will not be easy to carry out and will have great consequences. It's not even guaranteed to save Fugetsu. Other Kakin princes like Tserriednich, Camilla and Benjamin will have their interesting moments soon.

Kurapika is also extremely busy right now, with the new Nen workshop starting. She plans to reveal the contents of Queen Oito's letter, which could lead to some action from the prince, a good guess is Camilla. Either way, Togashi still has a lot to go through in this arc and a lot could happen in the next chapter.
