When he talks to the man, he reveals that his wife is worried about the monsters in the area, so he would like to cheer her up with a rare plant he discovered but was unable to gather. This is when he reveals that he is looking for a flying plant. Although the game doesn't specifically state it, it's pretty clear that you'll need to summon Echo to complete the request. How to get Peahat Echo in Echoes of Wisdom
If you have done some research before visiting Ruins of Suthornit is highly likely that you already have Peahat Echo. If you don't already have it, you won't have to travel far to collect it.
Your destination is the cave south of the Suthorn Ruins Temple entrance. You can use the Fast-Travel waypoint located between the temple and the cave. From the waypoint, head south into the cave shown on the map above. Go inside and go down to the end of the first corridor. You will find Peahat in the clearing at the end of the cave.
How to beat Peahat:
If you only have basic echoes, your best friend will be Tie. You can stick with Zol too Peahat in place with Bind and have Zola attack. You should have unlocked it Swordsman form in Suthorn Ruins, so that's also a viable option if you have it energy.
Flying Plant Rewards in Echoes of Wisdom
Once you have Peahat Echogo back to the old man v Suthorn Village. Summon Peahat directly in front of him and he will automatically react.
