Why Dead by Daylight's Teamwork Perks Face a Slippery Slope

However, Teamwork perks have a few drawbacks that hold them back compared to almost every other Survivor perk. Introduced in Dead by DaylightTools of Torment update, the Teamwork perk is one of the rarest types in the game, only two exist so far. These perks are Teamwork: Collective Stealth and Teamwork: Power of Two. It should be noted that both of these perks came out with Tools of Torment, no other Teamwork perks have been introduced since then. Since it's been over a year since any Teamwork perks were released, their place in the game may be in a precarious position.

There are also only two Invocation perks, and not only are the Invocations newer, but the second one released in the most recent chapter.

One glaring design flaw of the Teamwork perk Dead by Daylight are their activation requirements. Collective Stealth requires the user to be healed by someone else, while Power of two requires the user to successfully heal someone. Not only that, but the perk effects only stay in place as long as the user and the other person involved remain close to each other. The real effects, scratch hiding, and haste bonus are decent, but not strong enough to balance the steep requirements. At this point, both Teamwork perks are completely outmatched by other perks with similar effects.

The benefits of teamwork need to be redesigned to be more effective

It is possible that some major rework will be required Dead by Daylightfuture for the benefits of teamwork to become relevant. Specifically, both of their requirements combined are far too restrictive.
