Marvel's Wolverine is so violent and bloody that even some Insomniac Games developers feared that they could take it too far, with one brutal scene in a trailer that increases some eyebrows.
The condition of this week could have been a bit disappointing overall, but had at least a few main announcements. This included the long -awaited return of Marvel's Wolverine, which was first unveiled more than four years ago by a short CG pendant that really showed us nothing.
Insomniac remained quite silent about the direction of Wolverine, but in 2021 it promised that the game would be as violent as we had hoped. This certainly turned out to be true in an extremely bloody trailer, which was shown in the state of the game, which was so bloody that some insomnia thought it could be a bit too much.
Wolverine is as bloody as we dreamed but insomniac could alleviate it
Absolutely made the correct call to keep Wolverine M-rated
Shortly after the release of Wolverine trailer, a behind -the -scenes video that is unshamedly called “for claws” representing Insomniac Games developers talk about what has been shown. In this video, Insomniac tries to point out how important blood and gore to “Wolverine Experience” are.
Although Insomniac went to Wolverin's violence, even some of the game developers think it could take things a little far (thanks, Gamesradar+). Project director Jess Reiner-Reed admitted so much in the video for claws and said that one scene in a trailer where Wolverine stabs someone's head was the main problem.
In the trailer there is a part where Logan jumps down, and then makes claws over his face. The one I thought about, maybe it would take too far, but I'm so glad we have it. – Jess Reiner-Reed
This is certainly the most evoking moment in the trailer and a fair thing you have to worry about, but Reed admits that it was a good step to keep it because it “looks fantastic”. Insomniac community manager Aaron Jason Espinoza also said in the blog post that Wolverine would be “much darker and brutal” than you would expect from Insomniac, so it seems to be more.
