World of Warcraft produces Apexis Crystals, Veiled Argunite, and Order Resources Warband portable in Midnight. As soon as the next expansion comes out, or maybe shortly before, World of Warcraft players will be able to freely trade these currencies between their characters.
The Warbands system v World of Warcraft: The War Within is a collection of alternate features added with the Pre-Patch of the July 23, 2024 expansion. This system includes many useful aspects, including account-wide reputation, a shared bank, and the ability to transfer certain currencies between characters.
Transfer Apexis Crystals, Veiled Argunite and Order Resources in WoW: Midnight
Now it seems World of Warcraft: Midnight adds a few more currencies to the list of currencies that can be shared across accounts. WoW content creator MrGM found that since the latest build World of Warcraft Alpha, Apexis Crystals, Veiled Argunite, and Order Resources have all been marked as Warband Transferable. It is currently unclear whether these currencies will have a tax when traded or whether they will have a 1:1 conversion ratio.
Apexis Crystals are used to purchase non-raiding gear sets, mounts, companions and other rewards from Warlords of Draenor. Meanwhile, Veiled Argunite is used to purchase various relics and equipment from Thaumaturge Vashreen on Vindicaar in Legionplus Draenei-themed cosmetics and a Hearthstone toy from Gaal upon completing the quest to unlock the Man'ari customization introduced in WoW: Dragonflight. Finally, Order Resources are used to start the Class Order Hall system and purchase items from it, including the new Housing Decor. Midnight. Order resources can technically be converted right now via the order resource cache, Midnight will make this process significantly more efficient.
While this feature was found on Midnight alpha, may technically arrive before the expansion itself. There is a slim chance that it could be included as part of the 11.2.7 patch, although it was not mentioned in the official update announcement. Alternatively, it could be introduced as a component World of Warcraft: Midnight A Pre-Patch that may arrive on January 27, 2025 if the data mined from the alpha is correct.
Regardless, these aren't the last currencies Warband will be Transferable in World of Warcraft. Blizzard has expressed interest in creating most of the currency and reputation from legacies WoW content shared across Warband. While it will likely take many years for this to happen, it can't hurt for fans to start hoarding some of these old currencies until World of Warcraft eventually folding them into the Warband system.
