JoJo's Bizarre Adventure is one of the biggest anime franchises in the world. The series is divided into different parts, each with its own protagonist and villains. Currently, Araki is writing the ninth and probably final volume of the manga.
However, the anime is only on its seventh episode, which is JoJo: Steel Ball Run. An anime adaptation for Steel Ball Run has already been announced and is slated to air in 2026. In addition to the anime release, JoJo fans can expect a special project from Hirohiko Araki.

Viz Media's official X (formerly Twitter) account has confirmed that they will be releasing another art book in 2026. It's written by Hirohiko Araki, and in the manuscript, the author will include instructions on how to create the villains.
There is no exact date as of this writing, but fans can pick up the book sometime in the summer of 2026. A new manual from Araki will help aspiring writers create antagonists for their respective works.
Steel Ball Run will be released in 2026
That being said, the Steel Ball Run anime is currently in production at David Production. The studio was in charge of the animation of all the previous episodes, so fans don't have to worry about the quality of the anime. A handful of teasers have always been shared with the audience, and so far everything seems to be fine.
The Steel Ball Run anime is targeting a 2026 release, with some reports suggesting it will air in March or April of that year. It is obvious that the anime could be delayed if the staff cannot complete the production in the allotted time. If the anime is indeed pushed back, it could be released in the fall of 2026.
Some fans are concerned about the release schedule of Steel Ball Run. Netflix was in charge of the Steel Ball Run, and the streaming site resorted to releasing episodes in batches, which killed the fan momentum. They had to wait months before they got the next batch of episodes. Let's hope Netflix doesn't make the same mistake again and release episodes every week, allowing fans to watch the anime every week.
The Steel Ball Run anime will air exclusively on Netflix in 2026.
