Stepford is Dateable 83 in Date Everything, and he is a trophy personified and is voiced by JP Karliak. To reach the love ending with this character in Date Everything, players must learn about several other Dateables and help Stepford prepare for a competition. This guide is here to provide more details about that process, and it will help players romance Stepford.
While this guide lists dialogue options that are guaranteed to lead to the love ending with Stepford in Date Everything, players who keep the following recommendations in mind should be able to reach that conclusion without much issue: 1. Be complimentary and supportive of Stepford’s desire to compete. 2. Be thorough in helping him prepare, collecting information from all three Dateables he mentions. 3. Make sure he gets good sleep on the night before the competition, avoiding any activities that might keep him awake.

Where to Find Stepford in Date Everything
Before players can romance Stepford, they must find him. To do this, players should enter the gym upstairs (across from the bedroom), equip the Dateviators, and use them on the trophies on the wall near the treadmill.
Date Everything players should make sure to hit the trophies directly, as using the Dateviators on the shelf they are sitting upon will summon Shelley, not Stepford.
How to Romance Stepford in Date Everything
Reaching Stepford’s love ending requires six interactions with the character, and they must culminate with him earning the gold medal. Here are dialogue options that are guaranteed to lead to that outcome, though, again, players who keep the previously provided recommendations in mind do not need to follow them to the letter.
Interaction #1
- Don’t mind me. I’m just… watching.
- I’m [NAME]! Nice to meet you.
- Most definitely.
- I was hoping to meet a handsome, oiled-up hunk, actually.
- Oh yes.
- Why?
Interaction #2
- Hey Stepford, what’s up?
- Looking gold as ever to me!
- I don’t care what color you are. You’re gorgeous no matter what.
- So what’s the problem?
- That’s only natural.
- I think that’s just called aging.
- Idk.
- What will you do?
- Work hard and get back into competition form.
- See you around…
Interaction #3
- Let me guess… Thinking about competing again?
- It’s alright! What are you trying to decide on?
- Maybe I can help.
- Of course I’ll help. Give me a little context?
- That sounds great!
- …melts my clothes off?
- It takes you back to when you used to compete?
- And they never will, unless you get out there and compete.
- There’s nothing ‘ordinary’ about your smile, whatsoever.
- I think you should sign up for the competition!
- Luck!
Interaction #4
- Who are they?
- Tough competition…
- That’s awesome! Alright. Let’s get started!
- Training!
- Heel lifts?
- You’ve never trained before in your life, have you?
- Sigh.
- Given the competition consists of two categories, why not train for each separately?
- How about we work on the knowledge part?
- Let’s see here…
- Ok! What can you tell me about dryers?
- You’ll want to brush up on that, then. What about triangles?
- Yikes. Off to a bad start. How about Existential Dread?
- Do you know… anything, about… any thing in the house?
- I’ll go talk to the dryer!
- Makes sense to me! Thanks Stepford!
- I’ll go chat with a triangle!
- Yes, next to the Hall of Quadratus.
- I’ll see what I can find out about ‘Existential Dread’!
- Do you know where you can get in touch with such a thing?
- I think I’m good to go on trivia.
- Yeah! Let’s put that work in!
- Lets practice your gymnastics.
- Let’s hit the track! Grab your running shoes. I’ll get the whistle…
- Topless oil wrestling?!
- THIS IS GONNA BE AWESOME!!!!
- I think we’re done here!
- See you, Stepford!
Get Info from Doug, Drysdale, and Tina
Players must now visit Doug, Drysdale, and Tina in order to collect information that will help Stepford prepare for the trivia contest. Notably, players can not obtain the information they need during their very first interactions with those characters, as they must first meet them and then speak with them again on a later day. Fortunately, this requirement should not slow things down with Stepford too much, and here is where players can find Doug, Drysdale, and Tina:
- Doug: Players can summon Doug by standing in the entrance to the dining room, equipping the Dateviators, and staring at the wall section that is between the entry corridor and the living room for 30 seconds. He states that the two schools of philosophical thought that oppose Existentialism are Positivism and Rationalism.
- Drysdale: Drysdale is the dryer that sits atop the washing machine in the laundry room. He reveals that dryers produce static electricity due to the triboelectric effect.
- Tina: To find Tina, players should enter the bedroom, open the closet on the right, and use the Dateviators on the musical triangle that is sitting on a shelf. She explains that the gap in a musical triangle allows them to have overtones.
Players who want to earn the love ending should make sure to collect the information from these three Dateables, even if they already know it.
Interaction #5
After collecting information from all three characters, players should speak with Stepford during the last time slot of the day (when they have just one Dateviator charge) and choose these options:
- Hey Stepford. Everything alright?
- You’ve prepared well. Trust it.
- That’s not silver, Stepford. It’s platinum.
- I care about you, Stepford.
- I really think you ought to try to get some actual sleep.
- I have to turn you down – but only for your own good!
- I’ll stay here and keep you company until you fall asleep.
- And there he goes.
Indulging Stepford’s advances during this interaction will prevent him from getting the gold medal and lead to the friendship ending.
Interaction #6 (Trivia Quiz)
It is now time for the contest, and players who want to reach the love ending must provide Stepford with a correct piece of information about one Dateable. The following dialogue options demonstrate how that is done when focusing on Drysdale, though players who remember that Positivism and Rationalism oppose Existentialism and that the gaps in musical triangles create overtones should feel free to select one of those options instead for the quiz.
- Yes! I talked to Drysdale!
- The triboelectric effect.
- You put in the work. You’re totally prepared, Stepford! I believe in you.
- How about we go get you showered off, trophy boy?
How to Get Friendship and Hate Endings with Stepford in Date Everything
Friendship
There are many ways to become friends with Stepford, and here are a few options for players who are interested in that ending to choose from:

- At the contest, provide Stepford with correct information about the selected Dateable and then choose “no thanks necessary.”
Hate
