Dragon Ball Super has officially set up the strongest villain in anime history

The Dragon Ball the franchise is home to some of the most powerful characters in anime history. Even earlier Dragon Ball Super introduced God Ki, a multiversal power scaling and character capable of shaking the entire universe just by fighting, the main cast at the end DBZ they were just in a different league of power compared to most shonen series. Now, Dragon Ball Super built the most powerful villain not only in Dragon Ballbut quite possibly anime and manga history.

At the end of the Granolah the Survivor saga, Frieza made a surprise appearance for the first time since then Dragon Ball Super: Broly. Much to everyone's shock, Frieza revealed a new transformation: his black form. Black Frieza remains the most powerful and dangerous mortal in the land Dragon Ball multiverse and it's quite possible that he surpasses even the Power Levels of Gods like Beerus. When Dragon Ball Super manga finally comes out of hiatus, Goku and Vegeta will face the greatest threat in anime history.

Broly, Vegeta, GOku and Gohan

It's the end of an era for Dragon Ball's strongest Saiyans

When the Dragon Ball Super manga finally returns for the Black Frieza Saga, Goku and Vegeta will no longer be the strongest Saiyans in the series.

Frieza trained for ten straight years to become invincible and unstoppable

Dragon Ball Z: Resurrection F was originally marketed with the tagline “Worst Wish Ever”, referring to Frieza's return to life. At the time, it seemed like a huge exaggeration considering how easily Goku and Vegeta dealt with Frieza, but now that Frieza has come back to life after the Tournament of Power ended, it all makes sense. Frieza has more potential than any other character Dragon Ball franchise.

With just casual training for four months, Frieza went from being weaker than Super Saiyan Goku on Namek to being stronger than Goku and Vegeta in their Super Saiyan Blue forms. Frieza is only a mortal, but he was able to train himself well enough to literally surpass the strongest Saiyans in existence, who now rival the gods with their powers. The only reason Frieza lost is because he didn't bother upgrading his Golden Form once he unlocked it.

Frieza is so strong that he is able to catch up with Universe Survival Saga's Mastered Super Saiyan Blue Goku just by training the image. After being destroyed by Broly v Dragon Ball Super: BrolyFrieza leaves Universe 7 to explore the multiverse. On his travels, he finds the Hyperbolic Time Chamber, where he decides to spend a decade training. While in the Room of Spirit and Time, Frieza not only surpasses every mortal in the multiverse, but evolves his Golden form into his Black Frieza transformation: easily the most overpowered form in the entire franchise.

Black Frieza is currently the strongest character in Dragon Ball Super

It really goes without saying, but Black Frieza is the most powerful character Dragon Ball Super right now, perhaps even more powerful than the gods themselves. when Black Frieza first appears in Granolah the Survivor Saga, he kills Awakened Gas with one blow. At this point in the story, Awakened Gas was by far the strongest mortal in Universe 7, surpassing the Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, who Goku believed to be even stronger than Beerus.

Black Frieza ends up defeating both True Ultra Instinct Goku and Ultra Ego Vegeta in one hit, only sparing them because he didn't intend to kill them that day – but he easily could have if he wanted to. Based on Goku's comments and his performances, Black Frieza quite possibly surpasses even Super Saiyan Blue Gogeta. Nobody is in Dragon Ball universe, save Zen who can kill Black Frieza in his current state.

The main characters of Dragon Ball don't stand a chance against Black Frieza

As it stands, none of the Dragon BallThe main heroes currently have a chance against Black Frieza. While Goku and Vegeta have been training non-stop since they were defeated by Black Frieza, nothing is there Dragon Ball Super: Super Hero suggesting that since the days of Granolah, the Saa survivors have greatly outdone themselves. Toyotarou also confirmed that Legendary Super Saiyan Broly, Orange Piccolo, and Gohan Beast are at the same power level as Black Frieza.

Beerus is currently the Z-Fighters' best shot at defeating Black Frieza, but all signs point to Frieza being even more powerful than Universe 7's God of Destruction in his current form. Of course, Dragon Ball isn't the type of story where the villains win and someone will have to be able to stop Black Frieza, but the heroes may have to resort to other methods like creating another God of Destruction Frieza Universe 7 rating before stopping him outright. Black Frieza is just too strong. Never before has an anime had such an overwhelmingly powerful villain.
