Battlefield 6 quietly unnerved the XP bot farming lobby in a new update, fulfilling a promise made to the gaming community last week. New Battlefield 6 The update brings major changes to how XP is awarded in certain portal lobbies.
Since launch, some players have been using Battlefield 6A portal mode where you can join a lobby full of robots and easily kill them to level up your weapons and complete challenges quickly. While this is technically allowed, it wasn't exactly what Battlefield Studios intended Portal to be used for. So last week, the developer confirmed plans to nerf those XP bot farm lobbies.
Battlefield 6 Stealth Nerfs Bot Farming XP Lobbies
The developer certainly did not waste time – the new update has been quietly rolled out Battlefield 6 removed Mastery XP and completing challenges from any portal lobby with bots enabled. This change should basically kill Battlefield 6 bots lob in their tracks, meaning players will have to go back to normal matchmaking to continue ranking their weapons.
The existence of these XP farming lobbies highlighted the slow progress in Battlefield 6. These lobbies were intended as a community solution to this prominent problem. With them gone now, it has the potential to be even worse for the players. Battlefield Studios confirmed this when they announced plans to remove the XP lobby for bot farming Battlefield 6 will increase the progression rate soon, so hopefully this change will come sooner rather than later.
The nature of trying to find balance in all areas of the game as Battlefield 6 is that changes will come extremely quickly. This was already seen in some of the game's early updates, such as fan-requested changes Battlefield 6Conquest mode tickets. The developer made a controversial change, players complained and it was quickly reverted. Players should expect to see more of these things as Battlefield Studios continues to improve Battlefield 6.
