Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers have another 7-star Tera Raid challenge to prepare soon, as Goodra the Unrivaled will appear in Tera Raid lairs by the second half of November. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will have limited time to battle and catch Goodra the Unrivaled, though the Dragon Pokémon will have a few tricks in mind for trainers.
It first appears in Pokemon X and YGoodra is a pseudo-legendary monster of the Kalos region. Goodra is usually a dragon creature that evolves from Sliggoo when leveled in rainy weather. IN Pokemon Legends: ArceusBoth Sligoo and Goodra received Hisuian regional variants and received steel type as a secondary typification. Goodra is considered a mixed attacker with exceptionally high special defense, with moves like Dragon Pulse, Surf, Poison Tail, and Earthquake. Goodra can also use abilities like Sap Sipper and Gooey to force opponents to adapt on the fly.
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Goodra Tera Raid Details (Late November 2025)
Days after the end of the Hydreigon Tera Raid period, Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers will soon have to face another draconian enemy. According to Serebii.net, Goodra the Unrivaled will appear in the Seven-Star Tera Raid lair starting Thursday, November 20 at 7:00 PM ET and ending on Sunday, November 23 at 6:59 PM ET. Pokemon trainers who miss the first round will have a second chance the following weekend, November 27-30. Goodra the Unrivaled will be Water-typed as Tera-type and will grant Trainers the Most Powerful Mark to defeat her in battle. Goodry's high special defense will come into play, but she will have a lower physical defense as a counterweight. However, Goodra the Unrivaled will have some moves and abilities that can combat her weakness to grass and electric attacks.
Goodra the Unrivaled can have one of three potential abilities, each of which presents its own challenges. Hydration can heal Goodra while Rain Dance is active, and her hidden ability, Gooey, can slow down attackers who make physical contact. However, Goodra's most likely ability is Sap Sipper, which makes her immune to Grass-type attacks and boosts her attack stat instead of damage. Ergo, moves that remove abilities like Gastro Acid and Skill Swap are highly recommended Pokemon Scarlet and Violet trainers that can be used during battle.
Once Goodra's abilities are neutralized, powerful Pokemon like Iron Hands or Serperior can deal a lot of damage to the draconic Tera Raid boss. It remains to be seen what strategy Pokemon Scarlet and Violet players will use against Goodra the Unrivaled.
