You can't have a good RPG without good companions. When they're not helping you in battle or carrying all that useless stuff you've looted, they'll entertain you with a bit of banter and help you remember your morals. In many cases, they also make great love partners. Few games manage to balance this as well as Baldur's Gate 3 with its lovable cast of misfits.
While it's great to have a gang and pets like Scratch with you, sometimes you just want a little companion to cuddle with on cold Faerun nights. If a halfling or dwarf isn't available, one player has created a mod that allows you to carry a stuffed or teddy bear on your back.
Travel through Baldur's Gate 3 in style
If you've been flying anywhere lately, you may have noticed that a lot of people attach stuffed animals to their backpacks. I have no idea why this is, but now you can do it in Baldur's Gate 3 as well. A mod called Teddypack created by cloudie allows you to carry a backpack with a teddy or teddy bear attached.
Just because you're trying to save the realm from evil afloat doesn't mean you can't travel with your emotional support toy. The owl bear backpack is currently only available for body type one, but the teddy variant has two options: a regular one and a larger one with a blanket. They can be found in tutorial chests or purchased from Arron in Act One, Talli in Act Two, and Hoots in Act Three.
The plush backpacks take up the underwear slot on the characters, so you'll have to choose between a cute companion and the typical raunchy underwear of Baldur's Gate 3. Let's hope the developer can offer a variant of the owl bear for more body types, because, well, look how adorable it is!
Things got a little out of hand after Larian gave console players access to mods. With a whole host of weapons, costumes, new spells, character traits, and creative subclasses on offer, it's nice to see that there are adorable mods like this that allow you to customize Baldur's Gate 3 even more.
