Pokemon GO players have a chance to catch 6 shiny Pokemon

Pokemon Go players have a very narrow window of opportunity to catch the six Shiny Pokémon they may have missed from past events with a special end-of-year Community Day celebration that lasts just three hours. Pokemon Go during 2025, they introduced several of their monsters at the Community Day celebrations, and this special event gives fans one more chance with increased chances to try to catch them in their shiny forms.

Precious Paths season v Pokemon Go launched on December 2 and will run until March 6, 2026. The game has already been updated with new research quests, and there are plenty of other surprises in store for players over the next three months, from special event-themed Pokémon and seasonal bonuses to new experiences in Max Raids.

In addition to these bonuses, four Community Day dates have already been announced for the season, with a special one to end 2025 taking place on December 6th and 7th. Pokemon Go will each lasts only three hoursfrom 14:00 to 17:00 local time and will include several Pokémon that have been featured in previous Community Day events throughout the year. As with all Community Day events, these particular Pokemon will see their spawn count increase by a large margin, and they'll also each be able to learn the special chosen attack that was part of their original Community Day launches. For Saturday, December 6, these special Pokemon are Karrablast, Shelmet, Vanillite, Sprigatito, Fuecoco, and Pawmi.

In addition to the increased spawn rate, the Community Day event increases the chances of a Pokémon being Shiny, giving players who love catching rare variants the same hunting chances as all previous Community Day events in 2025. During regular times, the chance of finding a Shiny Pokémon is around 1 in 500, or 0.2 percent. Community days, however, usually increase those odds significantly, increasing them to 1 in 25, or 4 percent.

The same rates will apply to the six Pokémon selected for the December 7th event, which include Solosis, Pikipek, Jangmo-o, Rookidee, and Quaxly. A special Pokémon Community Day on Sunday will also ensure a revival Pokemon GoThe Flabebe Community Day event, which took place in September, offers three different color variants of Flabebe based on the player's location in the world. Players in the American continents will be able to collect the Yellow Flower Flabebe, while its Blue Flower variant will be limited to the Asia-Pacific region, and the central part of the globe will have an increased chance of seeing the Red Flower Flabebe, all following the game's standard region-locking protocols for that Pokemon. However, players in any region can encounter Flabebs with orange or white flowers if they are lucky.

Players will still have a chance to catch any of the above Pokemon from 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM on both days, but their spawn rate and high chance in Pokemon Go it won't be nearly as high as during special events. In addition, there are four special Pokémon that will receive the same increased rates and special move chance as others in the event, but will only be available for 10 minutes at the end of each day of the event, appearing from 4:50 PM to 5:00 PM local time. The four Pokemon crammed into this small amount of time are Machop, Eevee, Totodile, and Ralts, so anyone desperate for a chance to get one of their shiny firms should plan accordingly.
