LEGO is set to release one of its best sets in 2026

Depending on what era you grew up in, you may have a different perspective on LEGO, but we all have some memory of the brick-building brand. Whether it was elaborate sets that celebrated popular IPs or building your own creations from stray pieces, LEGO has become a constant source of fun no matter your age, and a hobby that can get pretty expensive. And it's only going to get worse for gamers because LEGO has something big planned for 2026.

There have already been some pretty incredible LEGO sets released for gamers in the last few years, from the LEGO Game Boy to numerous Fortnite sets. LEGO even created an interactive series of Mario sets that let you collect coins while exploring different environments. Minecraft was a huge hit for LEGO, with sets themed around both the game and the movie. But my personal favorite of all the LEGO playsets released so far is LEGO The Legend of Zelda Deku Tree Set. And in 2026, LEGO has another set planned that should be even more exciting.

LEGO will release a second Legend of Zelda set in 2026

LEGO recently teased LEGO The Legend of Zelda a short video set with some pretty telling details. While LEGO is keeping the official details under wraps, we can speculate about what the set includes based on this video.

First of all, we know that LEGO The Legend of Zelda set is coming in 2026, but when exactly is unclear. Typically, the timing of LEGO announcements can be anywhere from right before release to almost a full year in advance. The LEGO Game Boy, for example, was first teased in January and released only in October. So while fans are hoping that LEGO The Legend of Zelda set will be released in early 2026, not guaranteed to be. Similar to the Game Boy set, we could see this preview first, then the full reveal much later, before the full launch a few months down the road.

As for LEGO content The Legend of Zelda In the video, Link hovers above him with Navi and a shadowy figure approaching. Based on the design of his tunic, master sword, and hylian shield, he is believed to be Link z The Legend of Zelda: The Ocarina of Timewhich seems like a safe guess given the popularity of this game.

You can also make out Zelda in the background, but she's out of focus and it's hard to make out any detail from her design. In silhouette, she looks like a grown-up Zelda from Ocarina of Time.

However, this shadow is key because it hints that this LEGO Legend of Zelda set will feature Ganondorf in some form. The size of the shadow and assuming it will be a comprehensive LEGO set suggests it will be Ganon in his final form from Ocarina of Time, but it could also be Ganon in his familiar Gerudo form.

Either way, the diorama-like nature of the scene makes me very excited about this LEGO thing The Legend of Zelda set could be, and this is certainly one of the hottest items for the brand in 2026. However, if it's anything like the first The Legend of Zelda LEGO set, fans will want to start saving their money now. Released last year, the Deku Tree LEGO set still retails for $299.

However, it is an incredible LEGO set with options to build either a Deku Tree diorama Ocarina of Time or Breath of the Wild. Depending on what scene you want to create, there is a different Link mini-fig (two for OoT) and a Zelda figure for the BotW look. Even the Deku Tree gets a unique look depending on which version you want to make. It's a truly impressive LEGO set that set the tone for this latest partnership between Nintendo and the brick-building brand.

With a complex and expensive set checked off, there is potential for this second LEGO Legend of Zelda set to come at a lower and more affordable price. But LEGO sets these days are rarely what you'd call cheap, and when they're aimed at older collectors, the price is usually higher. Even if it's just a Link mini-fig, a Zelda mini-fig, and then the Ganon beast, that could be a pretty expensive set. There's no doubt that LEGO would have put a lot of details and pieces into Ganon, but for comparison, the soon-to-be-defunct LEGO Bowser set cost $269.99.

Either way, LEGO has my attention for 2026 and this is my most anticipated set of the year. I thought the Deku Tree set might be a one-off, but I'm glad Nintendo and LEGO are planning more collaborations, even if my wallet isn't.
