Final Fantasy 14 Christmas Treats for 2025
In addition to the usual winter seasonal decorations and story line, players will be able to unlock six new drink-sipping emotions that will be added to the game. These are thematic Final Fantasy 14Starting cities include Gridanian Sip, Gridanian Gulp, Ul'dahn Sip, Ul'dahn Gulp, Lominsan Sip, and Lominsan Gulp. Judging by the illustrations, there will be one animation sequence for the “Sip” line of emotes and one for the “Gulp” emote, but each town variant will use a different seasonal mug. It is unclear at this time if they will be identical or just similar to the existing tea emotes in the game.
Similar to emotes, there will be two sets of decorative items available Final Fantasy 14 player houses and apartments. These include the Ul'dahn Kinderpunsch and Lominsan Kinderpunsch, which are tabletop items that can be used up to ten times to gain a 30-minute food perk. Specifically, potions provide Piety Bonus +4% (Max 10), VIT Bonus +5% (Max 12), Gear Durability Bonus +3 and EXP Bonus +3%. The second set of items is purely decorative, with a stack of Ul'dahn and Lominsan mugs. Players who were active during the 2024 Starlight Celebration may recognize them, as the Gridan equivalent was part of the giveaway during that year.
Especially festive players will be able to purchase a small selection of items from previous Christmas-themed events from Starlight vendors. However, most of the previous seasonal items will end up in the paid store after the respective events. Those who see something may want to check out the store once the event starts, as this is usually the time of the sale when most of the previous seasonal goodies are discounted from their usual price.
With Starlight Celebration wrapping up the year, players won't have to wait long for the next seasonal event. The first half of the year gets a lot of them, and players can usually expect monthly seasonal events until May. These include Heavensturn to celebrate the New Year, Valentione's Day in February, Little Ladies' Day in March, Hatching-tide at Easter in April and the Make it Rain Campaign Gold Saucer event in May. While another major extension for Final Fantasy 14 won't land until late 2026 or sometime in 2027, players should have plenty of regular activities to keep them busy until then.
