A puzzle can be unintentionally hard if you don't know where all the items are to solve it. Head to the recreation room.
Find a large book and examine it.

Of the three dog heads you are asked to find, the blue dog head is by far the easiest to find. To find it, visit the Recreation Room on the second floor, where there is a Mia VHS tape RE7 is located, along with a bar and billiards. Looting the room will yield interesting results, including a suspiciously large book that is left out in the open – examine this book closely to discover that a blue dog's head is hidden inside.

Here's how to get Red Dog Head inside Resident Evil 7:

Get the Wooden Statuette from the bathtub on the second floor.
Solve the shadow puzzle in the main hall.
Head to the Basement.
Go to the Combustion Room.
Solve the Incinerator Door puzzle to get the morgue key.
Head to the morgue and try to grab the Red Dog's head.
Back out the door, go north and get the Red Dog Head hanging above the Morgue.
Survive the boss fight.

Collecting the previous Dog Head wasn't too difficult a task, but getting the Red Dog Head is a whole different story. Red Dog Head is located in the basement of the slaughterhouse where you will face a number of serious threats. Before heading down the stairs to the eerie white door to the cellar (found after using the Wooden Statuette to solve the shadow puzzle in the main hall), you should make sure you're well stocked with healing items and ammo.

In the basement, you find yourself face to face with the “Molded”, grotesque failed attempts by the Baker family, capable of killing Ethan with just a few hits. The best course of action is to maneuver around as many Moldeds as possible to save ammo for the upcoming boss battle, which you must complete to get the Red Dog Head. Or you could blow their heads off with a shotgun RE7 save them from chasing you.

However, before you get to the boss fight, you need the morgue key. To get the morgue key, head to the Incinerator Room and kill the Molded inside. The incinerator doors here need to be opened in a certain order to unlock the door closest to the entrance.

Here it is how to solve the incinerator door puzzle:

Open the rightmost door.
Open the door with the bloody handprint in the middle.
Go to the leftmost door.

An evolved version of Molded comes out of this door, so be careful when getting the key. You can shoot Molded with your Handgun or Shotgun, or just take the key and run to the dissecting room, which you can reach through the boiler room.

When you get to the autopsy room and try to grab Red Dog's head, Jack will appear and take it away. Once that happens, exit the room and go north a bit, then look down into the Morgue area. Here you will find a hanging Red Dog Head – take it and start a boss fight with Jack. Once you defeat Jack, you will finally have the Red Dog Head.

Grab the pendulum from the clock in the main hall.
Place the pendulum on the clock in the living room.

While you can get this one before the Red or Blue Dog Head, we actually recommend picking up the white one last, as the living room clock chimes loudly when you place the pendulum in it, alerting Jack to your presence. However, now that you've dealt with Jack in the morgue, he won't be chasing you.

The first step to get the white dog's head is in the main hall. Notice the grandfather clock leaning against the wall on the first floor. As it turns out, the clock pendulum can be collected, so grab it.

Take the clock pendulum back to the kitchen where Ethan was subjected to a somewhat disturbing dinner. Adjacent to the kitchen is the Living Room and there you need to use the pendulum on the grandfather clock to get the White Dog's head. If you take the head, the clock will chime loudly, but as long as you fought Jack in the morgue, you'll be safe.

Now that you have all three dog heads, head to the north door in the main hall and put them all in to finally escape the main house in Resident Evil 7 (yet).
