What does the Cube Level Bar do?
As you sell items through Alchemy, you'll notice that the bar at the top of the Cube menu starts to fill up. This bar is following you Cube leveland you'll unlock new features in the cube as it levels up. For example, you'll gain access to crafting once the cube reaches level 5, and you'll see those features added to a dropdown menu where you can choose between Synthesis and Alchemy.
The cube level also increases when you use other features like Synthesis. As long as you engage with the Cube system in some way, it will evolve.
Should you sell items or use Synthesis?
Initially, most players are better off selling extra items instead of synthesizing them, as early gold is extremely important for Run upgrades.
For example, you can unlock additional hero slots through the Runes feature, which allows you to have multiple heroes on the battlefield at once. This has a much bigger impact than just getting a higher class item through Synthesis.
Once you've unlocked your Hero Slots and established a solid economy, you can start synthesizing items. However, if you ever need gold, sticking to alchemy is usually a better choice.
Is alchemy the same as selling on the Steam Market?
NoAlchemy and Steam Market are different systems. Alchemy converts items into in-game gold, while you can sell items on the Steam Market via the in-game merchant ship.
If you're trying to get gold for in-game purchases, you should use Alchemy in the Cube. If you are trying to sell items through the Steam Market, you should click on the Steam Trade Ship icon in the top left corner of the Hero menu.
Why can't I sell items?
If you cannot sell the item, please check the following:
-
Make sure your first hero reaches Level 4and you have unlocked the cube.
-
Make sure that Cube the offer is open.
-
Make sure the cube is set to Alchemynot Synthesis.
-
Make sure you're trying to earn in-game gold, not a Steam Market item listing.
The most common mistake is opening the cube and staying on Synthesis. To sell items for gold, players must switch the die to alchemy.
