A recent interview with Leon Kennedy's actor, Nick Apostolides, hinted that Resident Evil Requiem isn't meant to be Leon's last game, despite what we all thought before release.
When Capcom finally stopped trying to dazzle us all and admitted that Leon Kennedy was not only in Resident Evil Requiem, but also his second playable character, many thought it was meant to be the character's mission. After all, he's not only playing Leon pushed to his absolute limit, he's also reconciling plot threads that were introduced alongside the character nearly 30 years ago.
However, now that we've all played Resident Evil Requiem, it's pretty clear that this isn't what Capcom intended. Yes, Requiem for Leon resolves a lot of plot threads and wraps up his arc, but it also ends up putting him in his prime and raising as many questions as it answers, something Leon's actor recently talked about.
Resident Evil Requiem probably isn't Leon's last game, to no one's surprise
To be fair, Capcom never said it was
As pointed out by Twitter user Resident_bio, GamesRadar+ recently had the opportunity to speak with Leon Kennedy's actor, Nick Apostolides, about his role in Requiem. At one point, Apostolides notes that Capcom decided to center the story around Raccoon City, which meant bringing back someone who was “really affected by it.”
Although there are plenty of viable characters, Capcom obviously went with Leon Kennedy. Apostolides theorizes that this is likely because the remakes with Leon and his arc had “so much momentum”. This arc Capcom wanted to “not finish” but “continue” and find out where Leon stands in the present.
It's Apostolides' comment about the “unfinishedness” of Leon's arc that convinced fans that the actor agrees that Requiem isn't Leon's last game. This is certainly supported in Requiem as well, as Leon ends his arc feeling better than it has in years and with a renewed sense of purpose, leaving the door wide open for him to appear later in the series, despite all rumors of him being a send-off.

I wish all the Pokemon in Pokopia weren't my best friends
Having all my pokemon on it is adorable, but Pokopia also has a big problem with spawning.
